With the economy going down the drain, the holiday season is a bad time to screw someone out of money. Apparently, Timbaland just doesn’t care. The musician had his Miami mansion decorated for the holidays with lots of flowers and lights from The White Tulip Florist. He still owes them thousands of dollars on his bill. The company is claiming that the rapper owes them over $10,000 and they’re suing for it. They have filed legal papers to put a lien on Timbaland’s mansion since they claim that he bought $22,850 worth of decorations and he still owes them $11,450. According to reports, Timbaland was upset when he saw the bill and demanded to see the wholesale cost of the items he purchased but still didn’t pay up after he was shown the costs.
It seems that there clearly more to Britney Spears visit to India to meet ace Indian choreographer Sandip Soparrkar than just learning a few dancing steps because on new Year’s Eve the pop diva introduced Sandip to her family and is taking their relationship quite seriously it seems.
If current gossip reports are to be believed then 27-year-old Britney is so happy with Indian choreographer Sandip that she hosted an intimate party to celebrate her new relationship & took the opportunity to debut her lover to her family and friends.
Some reports are also saying that ever since when met with Sandip she has been all over him. But hey guys would you ever take such reports seriously, I can clearly remember that barely a month ago there were reports linking Britney to Paris Hilton’s ex-boyfriend Benji Madden.
By the way Britney’s brother, Bryan, 31 married 36-year-old Graciella Sanchez and the entire Spears family was present for the wedding making it a happy way to ring in the New Year.
John Mayer wasn’t able tospend the holidays with his girlfriend Jennifer Aniston. Instead, the singer spread some holiday cheer at the 95.5 WPLJ-FM’s 17th Annual Holiday Concert at Blythedale Children’s Hospital last week in Valhalla, New York. He liked doing charity more than getting some loving from Jen. The 31-year old musician joined Matchbox Twenty’s Rob Thomas onstage for a rendition of Ben E. King’s classic ‘Stand By Me’. About 400 people turned out for the invitation-only concert, which hospital officials said raises about $250,000 a year. John and Rob weren’t alone in their causes though as they were also joined by musicians Ingrid Michaelson and Sara Bareilles.
For $40,000, you can hear a wasted John Lennon sing about sucking nipples. There was a recent auction at the auction house Bonham’s which sold Lennon’s outtake of the 1973 song ‘Just Because’ to the highest bidder. According to the NY Post, on the track, you hear the former Beatle slue “I wanna take all them new singers, Carol and the other one with the nipples, I wanna take ‘em and hold ‘em tight, all them people that James Taylor had… I wanna suck your nipples, baby!” I’m guessing that Carol is Carole King and the so called other one with the nipples is Carly Simon.
Rihanna and boyfriend Chris Brown kept their romance going strong in Paris last week. Rihanna looked like she was freezing. I hope Chris was a gentleman and offered her his puff jacket. Earlier that day, the 20-year old Barbadian singer performed at French reality TV show ‘Star Academy’. She performed her hit song ‘Umbrella’ with one of the contestants. Rihanna also performed her latest single ‘Rehab’. In other Rihanna news, Rihanna’s participation at an inauguration charity ball on January 20, 2009 has been confirmed as Feeding America and Recording Industry Association of America announced her performance. All of the proceeds will go directly to Feeding America.
From one couple’s marriage troubles to another. Despite all the divorce rumors surrounding Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, the Coldplay front man is denying that they are having any trouble at all. He said “I’m trying to think of when the last bit of bad news was. Well there hasn’t been anything for a while. I’m supposed to be getting divorced but those things aren’t happening so don’t really count as bad news.” That’s what they all say. But look at Madonna and Guy Ritchie. They went that route before but we all know how they ended up don’t we?
These Green Eyes, fresh off the Atticus tour, have decided to celebrate the coming Holidays with a cover of The Kinks “Father Christmas.” The track can be heard exclusively on AbsolutePunk.net, but will be made available to the public to download for one day only (Tuesday 12/23) on LiveDaily.com. Leona Lewis is still out promoting her album ‘Spirit’. It’s not like it needs any more support really. The 23-year old singer remained at number one in the singles chart for a second week in the UK with her cover of Snow Patrol’s ‘Run’. Leona will also be performing with other female acts to celebrate New Year’s Even in the main square in the UK. She was also recently named America’s Top New Artist for this year by Billboard magazine. Leona has done all the right things this year and it can only get better. She’s someone I’m really rooting for to have great success.

Chris Cornell has just premiered the video for “Scream,” the title track off of his Timbaland produced album due out next year. Directed by Alan Ferguson (Fall Out Boy, Gym Class Heroes), the cinematic piece captures the two opposing moods of the song. “My role in the video is performing the song in super-slow-motion,” explains Cornell. “I’m existing in this Zen-like world, singing these song lyrics and everything going on around me is super-fast, super-chaotic, and I’m just suspended in it.”
The All-American Rejects third studio album, When The World Comes Down, is available now! The highly anticipated follow up to Move Along was produced by Eric Valentine (Good Charlotte, Maroon 5) and features the infectious single “Gives You Hell.” The deluxe edition of the album features a bonus disc with six demos, a track by track commentary with Tyson and Nick, and the enhanced video for “Mona Lisa.” Amazon is offering a special deal to grab all of the mp3s from the album for only $2.99!
The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus have just released the first video from their upcoming Lonely Road album. “You Better Pray” is directed by Tony Petrossian who has also worked with bands like Rise Against, Taking Back Sunday, and Slipknot among others. The clip also is the first to not include guitarist Elias Reidy who is no longer with the band.
Vocalist Ronnie Winter explains, “As some of you may already know or have noticed by now (album cover, new video, myspace, etc.), Elias is no longer with RJA, and has not been since late October. As history goes, RJA was started by Ronnie and Duke about seven years ago, and there have been seven lineup changes since then, especially in the guitar department, where Elias was the 5th replacement guitarist (such is life in a rock n roll band). Anyway, more on this shortly, but regardless have no fear - the core of RJA remains intact.”
As REV THEORY continues to rock the stage in cities across North America they are shedding light on the red hot video for “Light It Up.” The second single off their Interscope Records debut, Light It Up, again showcases the bands adeptness to arena rock anthems. Not only does the hard-hitting track fuel a rock fire but the video epitomizes everything that is right about rock ‘n roll… booze, babes and pure adrenaline. The “Frying Pan,” a run down Manhattan ship, plays the backdrop to an underground fight club that would rival anything seen in Brad Pitt’s epic film Fight Club.
Fans can catch Rev Theory on tour throughout January. Light It Up featuring, “Hell Yeah” and “Light It Up” is in stores now.
