Take a walk with Alanis Morissette as she opens up about her new album, Flavors of Entanglement. You’ll hear plenty of Alanis’ personal thoughts on the album in this intimate video clip as well as info about the upcoming tour and her inspiration behind the single “Underneath.”
Flavors of Entanglement is due out in the US on June 10th.
While we’re still not sure exactly what her purpose is, Rumer Willis is trying her hand at all possible showbiz career ventures. According to music insiders, the celebrity spawn has drummed up a lot of interest from music execs with her “deep, husky” voice. Fox News reports that the 19-year old’s unique voice for someone her age is in talks for some projects. A music insider said “She can definitely hold a good tune — keep in mind her mother, Demi, has a sultry, raspy voice, and father, Bruce, likens himself as being a blues artist. With the right production and material, she could put out something solid and already people are talking.” I’ll believe it when I hear it.
Check out this teaser video of Vanessa Hudgens in the studio recording her single “Sneakernight.” The song will appear on her forthcoming album, Identified, due out on June 24th. “Sneakernight” will be available on iTunes May 20th.
R&B star Lloyd will return to the game with his third effort, Lessons In Love. The July 15th release comes strapped with the hard-driving lead single “How We Do It” featuring Ludacris. Lloyd will be playing a string of tour dates along with a FREE concert live on DeepRockDrive.com on Sunday May 25th at 4PM PST. The R Kelly kiddie-porn trial has already begun on Friday with jury selection but a new bombshell has dropped. It is being reported that an aide for the singer may have paid off a woman for the return of a potentially incriminating tape. The problem: the woman in question is going to testify against him. Kelly’s lawyers have already filed a motion for the delay of the trial, most likely because of the woman set to testify. Unfortunately, the judge scrapped the motion and the trial will go on. It’s about time! Over 5 years is enough of a delay!

Mariah Carey has cancelled out on the ladies of The View, maybe because she wasn’t ready to talk about her new marriage but will she flake at another planned concert as well? The 38-year old diva is set to perform on May 15 in Dubai. According to the announcement by Midas Promotions, Mariah is going to performs songs off her latest album ‘E=MC2’ as well as some record-breaking songs from the 90s. Here’s my opinion, if she’s having a gay old time on her honeymoon, start asking about refunds. If we get news on her before the concert, then she’s going to be in Dubai.
Hot of the heels of her debut album release and an opening spot for Fergie at Florida’s SunFest, Hilary McRae will be heading out on tour with singer/songwriter Teddy Geiger. McRae’s Through These Walls was released through Hear Music on 4/15 and can be purchased on iTunes.

Reports have come out that Amy Winehouse is planning to make a trip to the US for a tour this summer. I wonder if immigration officials have any idea of these plans. Ticketmaster posted a concert listing for Wino on Monday saying that there’s a show at the Greek Theater in San Francisco in August. There’s no mistake about it as tickets go on sale on Sunday, May 4th. The ‘Rehab’ singer is supposed to play large venues across the US and is even listed to be playing the massive Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. It’s expected to be a big payday for the singer – if she gets her act together in the next couple of months.
What’s a day in LA without shopping? Buzznet recently followed The Veronicas and Jeffree Star to Jet Rag for a little prom dress shopping, and they had a “truly outrageous” time. Check out the first video clip and a message from Lisa and Jes here!
In celebration of the release of Madonna’s upcoming album HARD CANDY, Control Room, MSN and Verizon Wireless will present the one and only Madonna live in New York’s famed Roseland Ballroom on Wednesday, April 30th. Now fans can Madonna-fy their online world with promo banners, Myspace codes, and desktop backgrounds:
Nobody or nothing can hold country superstar Kenny Chesney down – not even an injury. The singer received the go-ahead from his doctors on Monday to continue his ‘Poets & Pirates’ tour after injuring his foot during a concert in Columbia, South Carolina on Saturday night. I’m actually still in awe that he continued performing after suffering his injury at the beginning of that show. The docs say that Kenny could perform but that he needs to take it easy. Let’s hope that he cuts the whole lift out of his grand entrance. We can’t risk him injuring his other foot now, can we?

Mariah Carey has recently released a remix of her new single ‘Bye Bye’ featuring the iconic rapper Jay-Z. When I first heard the song when she performed it on American Idol, I thought of how incredibly cheesy and overall sucky the song was. But after hearing the remix with Hova on it – man! I can’t believe I actually like it now. Just the remix though, not the original. Maybe it’s because that Jay-Z’s rap cuts out the really cheesy verses of the song and Mariah was mostly just back up on the first half of the song. The less I hear of her, the more I like the song.
You know that you have the hottest tour of this year when you’ve got some of the hottest artists OPENING your show for you. Rihanna beams in a hot pink number during Kanye West’s ‘Glow in the Dark’ tour at HP Pavilion on Saturday in San Jose, California. The Queen of 2007 and still reigning in 2008 Rihanna is just one of three opening acts for Kanye. The other acts are Lupe Fiasco and NERD, Pharrell Williams’ rock ensemble. Kanye’s show is already getting rave reviews on its own. The addition of those three big opening acts are just an added bonus that takes the show all the way to the top.
