She also said that no further information was going to be released and that Usher asked for the respect of his privacy. Webster would not comment on whether or not the couple had split up. Foster is expecting Usher’s baby this fall. There is plenty of speculation surrounding Foster’s sister. She recently told the press that Tameka had once served time after becoming involved with a married drug dealer. It’s always nice to see family sell one another out in Hollywood. Apparently this was a secret Tameka had been trying to keep from Usher. I’m pretty sure they say you can’t start a marriage based on lies and secrets. Maybe it’s better to hold off on rushing commitments when you don’t really know all there is to know about each other.

Legendary singer Bob Dylan has consented to the first hip-hop remix of one of his classic songs, Most Likely You’ll Go Your Way (And I’ll Go Mine). Dylan has sanctioned Mark Ronson, the dance world’s hottest producer, to rework on the bittersweet break-up song from his 1966 album Blonde on Blonde. After years of declining all offers to remix his records, Dylan, has decided that hip-hop renovation is the finest way to initiate his work to a new teenage audience. Certainly well thought of Dylan, in today’s world it is the survival of the fittest and renovation or innovation is a must to keep oneself as world class. He certainly is a name that his generation would love listening to and his music was ground-breaking. To that impressive resume, she can now add Hollywood producer. “El Cantante,” a biopic about salsa legend Hector Lavoe that will be released on August 3, is the first movie from her production company, Nuyorican Productions. Lopez and Anthony had dated more than 10 years ago and were married in 2004 — his second marriage and her third. But Lopez said that she had decided to cast him as Lavoe shortly after she first got the script for the movie five years ago, before they had started dating again. Well this is nice to see that she wanted to cast him in the movie, this show that she has the right recipe to make her movie a box office damp squib. Like he is not a proven Hollywood actor and if she wants to be successful as a producer she better have the right guys performing. WHAT YOU SAY, AH!

The mother of late rapper Tupac Shakur is trying to stop his former record label selling unreleased recordings as part of a bankruptcy settlement.

Afeni Shakur is seeking an injunction in a bankruptcy court claiming Death Row Records is attempting to sell material that belongs to his estate.

Unreleased material should have been turned over to the estate as part of a 1997 agreement, her lawyer said.

The court is expected to consider the request in the next month.

At the same time, it will decide whether Death Row should be allowed to release an album with the unreleased tracks to help pay its debts, according to Ms Shakur’s lawyer Donald David.

The legal team representing Death Row Records was not available for comment.

The label made stars of Shakur and Snoop Dogg, and was home to hip-hop super-producer Dr Dre in the early 1990s.

But its fortunes – and those of its owner, Marion “Suge” Knight – started to slide when Shakur was shot dead in 1996.

The rapper, whose hits include California Love and Ghetto Gospel, was in the passenger seat of Knight’s car when the attack happened.

There have recently been several burglaries in the Platinum Triangle. That is the name given to the rich areas of Beverly Hills, Bel-Air and Holmby Hills. The thieves consist of two or three men dressed in dark clothing and masks. They have already been successful in making off with over seven million dollars worth of stuff. Two of their latest victims are country crooners Faith Hill and husband Tim McGraw. Another victim on the list was a studio executive for Paramount. There is only one clue so far and that is from a security camera that caught an image of two large men. Most of the thefts occur at night or when the home owners are away. This has created a real element of fear for those living in the area. I guess it doesn’t pay to be rich after all. It just makes everyone hate you and want to rip you off. Of course it is unfortunate when it happens to the nicer couples like McGraw and Hill.

Rap rivals Kanye West and 50 Cent will go head to head on September 11th when their albums are released simultaneously. Last month, West decided to release his third album Graduation early, on August 21st, to avoid a sales war with 50 Cent’s new disc Curtis. After originally planning to release Curtis in June, 50 Cent delayed the album until September 4th, then last week it was postponed again until September 11th. And now West has decided to release Graduation on the same day, according to a representative from his record label Def Jam. Where’s the love, what about the fans that love 50&kanye? Did they stop and think that all there fans are not rich? And they cannot afford to buy 2 albums at the same time, there is enough money to go around, they just need to spread it out a lil bit! Please don’t put us in that position to have to choose between the 2, it is not fair!

A lawyer for Jon Bon Jovi is demanding a New Jersey entrepreneur change the moniker of his Mijovi energy drink because it sounds too much like the 45-year-old rocker’s famous name and could cause confusion among Bon Jovi fans.
In a Jan. 22 letter to drink maker Marcos Carrington, a copy of which was obtained by the Asbury Park Press, the musician’s Los Angeles-based lawyer Peter Laird took issue with the name Mijovi and other words featured on cans and in promotional materials for the caffeine-based beverage, including “itsmijovi” and “itsmilife.”
The legal eagle claimed the phrases infringed on the trademark “Bon Jovi” and were an attempt to associate the energy drink with one of the band’s biggest hits, “It’s My Life.” The cease and desist missive eschewed Carrington’s spelling in favor of “It’s My Jovi” and “It’s My Life.”
“As you should be aware, one of Bon Jovi’s most popular songs is entitled “It’s My Life,” Laird wrote. “We hereby demand that you immediately cease and desist all further use of the name “Mijovi” and “It’s My Life.”
In an interview Carrington smacked down the assertion that his energy booster tried to capitalize on Bon Jovi’s reputation, pointing out that he named it after his girlfriend, Jovita Saenz.
“This business has nothing to do with Bon Jovi nor was it inspired by him,” the drink’s founder said. “Mijovi is about building a brand that emphasizes personal and global responsibility. The name itself was inspired by Jovi, short for Jovita, which means ‘jovial life.’ Bon Jovi makes music and Mijovi makes lifestyle beverages.”

Country star Keith Urban credits rehab with saving his marriage to actress Nicole Kidman. Hairspray director Adam Shankman has hit back at a journalist who is proposing a boycott of the film because its star John Travolta has “no business” playing an iconic gay character. The Saturday Night Fever actor stars as super-sized woman Edna Turnblad in the latest adaptation of the kitsch musical, angering the editor of gay newspaper Washington Blade, Kevin Naff. British girl group, Atomic Kitten is reforming to release a new single – two years after their last musical offering hit the charts. Singers Jenny Frost, Natasha Hamilton and Liz McClarnon are hoping to set the charts on fire once again with their version of 1964’s Cilla Black classic Anyone Who Had A Heart – and they may release even more material. The band’s representative says, “You can never say never to the girls getting back together properly one day for singles, albums, or tours.” Two years is probably the shelf life of Sean Diddy Combs or some top flight artist not some Atomic Kitten name girls band, this band who the hell knows them and if they are not seriously engaged in creating music then who wants to listen to them. They are other performers that are more vibrant and active than these girls. But why are they back now?? Creating music by redoing an older song would not win them any fans.

Courtney Love hasn’t done much to better her life in the last few years. She recently played a show where she made jokes about being anorexic. She chain smoked through the entire show and made remarks about drinking Ensure shakes for her eating disorder. She came out wearing a Marc Jacobs bustier and would not have looked too bad if not for the heavy circles under her eyes. She looked like she was on some junk. Her makeup was a disaster and really running around her eyes. It’s awful to see people like this. They reach a point where they no longer want to help themselves. There is nothing left for the rest of us to do but shake our heads and say how unfortunate it is. I can’t imagine how hard it must be for her daughter watching her mother’s downward spiral. Although, I do have to give Courtney credit for being here and not taking the easy way out like Kurt did.

When he was starting out in the rap business, Brother Ali quickly learned how much skin color matters.

“I started sitting down for interviews and journalists would say, ‘Are you black or white?’” recalled Ali, who is albino. “I’d ask them, ‘What do you think?’”

For the record, Ali is Caucasian. But his lack of skin color made it easier to create ambiguity and avoid the label of white rapper — a tempting proposition for a man who grew up feeling accepted by black kids and mistreated by his white classmates.

“It’s not like black kids didn’t make fun of me, but it was different,” said Ali, 29, who was born Jason Newman. “It wasn’t done in a way to exclude me. It wasn’t done in a way to make me feel like not even a human being, not even a person.”

It was through friendships with black people, first in Detroit and later Minneapolis, that Ali found the two outlets that have helped defuse his outsider rage — hip-hop and Islam. That, in turn, has helped him create music that’s reaching an ever-widening audience: Rolling Stone magazine recently praised his “super-agile flow” and proclaimed that his new album, “The Undisputed Truth,” should “go down as one of ’07’s best rap records.”

But Ali said it’s not about making hit songs. His rhymes are his release, a way to process a rough childhood and reach out to listeners who’ve suffered in their own ways.

“What I’m saying is real from my heart, and so if it connects for somebody else, that’s a real connection we have no matter who we are,” Ali said. “What I’m saying is real to me, so if it means something to you then what we have is a real thing.”

“I’ve always been a big kid, a chubby kid,” said Ali, who is also legally blind, a condition common to albinos. “I had this long white hair, and I didn’t really have the greatest clothes. I just looked strange.”

But Ali discovered early on a love for performing and dancing, which he was never afraid to showcase at school assemblies and events. It was a way, he said, to call attention to himself for something other than his unusual appearance, and he was a good enough performer that it helped him find friends who were similarly interested in break-dancing and hip-hop.

Stars like Madonna just seem to continue achieving higher levels of insanity. During the Live Earth events there were many reporters told not to make eye contact with big stars. Madonna took it to another level by demanding that reporters must make eye contact with her the entire interview. This meant they were not even allowed to look down at their notes. Any slight look away from Madonna was to result in the interview being ended. Reporters also were limited and told what they could and could not ask her. This is the most outrageous thing. Madonna needs to get down off of her high horse and realize that she is not the grand master of theatrics as far as real people are concerned. Regular human contact does not involve constant staring without looking away. It’s absolutely demented for her to treat people that way. I’m shocked that anyone went along with it. Does anyone really care what she has to say anymore anyway?

Usher is speaking out about the rumors surrounding his relationship with and upcoming wedding to Tameka Foster, with whom he’s expecting a child in the fall. Finally, he wants to make it clear that Foster, 36, is not running his life, as some bloggers have speculated after Usher fired his manager mother, Jonetta Patton, and publicist. But Usher insists: “I am happy, excited, completely clear and independent on my direction, feelings, decisions and I am not being led.” Only time will tell if he is following her instruction or not. In anycase even if he is it’s not a big deal, he must be trusting her on some issues and would have been finding her ideas nice. If the whole instructions thing brings him success then why on earth should he not take advice from her, we all take ideas and advices from the one we trust and he is doing the same thing.

Metallica’s guitarist Kirk Hammett is still scarred by the childhood memory of his neighbor having sex with his dog.
