Emmy Rossum has a boyfriend and it’s someone in the music business. Emmy and her man Justin Siegel were spotted holding hands on the way to a parking garage after their lunch date at Beverly Hills hot spot Kate Mantilini on Tuesday.

Justin works in the A&R division of a record label responsible for scouting and artist development. He works for Interscope Records, a division of Interscope-Geffen-A&M. Geffen happens to be Emmy’s label.

Justin has also been romantically involved with Kimberly Wyatt of the Pussycat Dolls. He reportedly dumped her for Emmy. Ooh, burn.

Emmy’s album ‘Inside Out’ will be released on October 23.

Justin Timberlake Postpones Tour Dates

justin-timberlake-tour.jpg

Justin Timberlake fans in Sacramento and San Jose will have to wait a bit longer to get “Lovestoned.”Justin’s “FutureSex/LoveShow” concerts scheduled for last night and tomorrow in the California cities have been postponed, due to vocal strain suffered by the “SexyBack” singer.

A rep for Timberlake issued a statement to Access Hollywood assuring fans that the shows will go on…and soon:

“Tour promoter, AEG Live, has rescheduled Justin Timberlake’s concerts in Sacramento and San Jose. The shows were rescheduled following a doctor mandated several day vocal rest prescribed to the artist to repair vocal strain inflicted during his MTV VMA performance and months of rigorous touring.

The FutureSex/LoveShows will go on. The Sacramento concert, originally scheduled for Monday, September 10th, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, September 25th and the San Jose concert, originally scheduled for Wednesday, September 12th, has been moved to Sunday, September 23rd.

Fans should retain their tickets as they will be honored at the rescheduled concerts.”Justin was a major presence at Sunday’s Video Music Awards, winning multiple trophies and performing both at his party suite with Timbaland and 50 Cent, as well in the show’s big closing performance.

He has been on the “FutureSex/LoveShow” tour since January, performing over 50 shows in the U.S. and Canada, along with over 40 dates throughout Europe. He is currently in the midst of the second leg of his U.S. tour before moving on to dates in Australia and New Zealand next month.

James Blunt Only Knows Saucy Spanish Phrases

Posted by Sam on 11th September 2007 in Celebrities, Funny, James Blunt, Music, Rock, Singers

james-blunt-photo.jpg
Singer James Blunt has turned to Spanish in an attempt to woo potential girlfriends – but he only knows saucy phrases. He says, “I can say two things, ‘Tienes un condom?’ and ‘Cosquillee mis pelotas’. The first means ‘Do you have a condom?’ and the second is ‘Tickle my balls.’ You tickle my balls. You tickle my balls. You tickle my balls, it’s true. I bet you all that’s the only phrase this pervert knows in Spanish and he would have learnt to say the same words over and over again with a few changes and that’s the only thing this chap wants to tell his potential girlfriends. I wish he meet a real hottie from Spain whose got an even more hotter head and gives him a real whack on his ass in front of a 100 odd gathering at an uptown restaurant where he gets so embarrassed that he first learns to say ‘sorry’ and ‘I apologize’. Then she makes him wash the dishes at the restaurant and has a bodyguard who a huge hunk and James has to leave the place with his tail between his legs, which would be real fun, haha.

Eve is Free

Eve showed up to and performed at the Herbal Essences’ Great Escape to the MTV Video Music Awards party at the Palms on Friday night. That happened to be the last night that she had to wear her SCRAM anklet which prevents her from having too much fun and committing another DUI.

On Saturday, the female rapper took of the ankle monitoring bracelet that has been on her for the last 45 days. Eve is finally free!

Now maybe she can drink that champagne that was given to her at the MAC Cosmetics event from New York Fashion week. Cheers!

Avril Lavigne’s Interview with Q Magazine

Self-praise is what keep our celebrities in high spirits and their own world where they are the most secure and comfortable. Once again, Avril Lavigne has opened up her big, stupid, ugly, annoying, conceited, dumb (I could keep going) mouth about how great she is. She’s already put down Britney Spears and now she’s saying how she’s better than Kelly Clarkson. Umm, I don’t think so honey. Kelly Clarkson may have gained 20 pounds and dropped an album her executives hated but she’s still a million times more talented, interesting and beautiful than Avril. She thinks she was born to do this and so she can now cope with her fame. What rubbish, does a sweeper or cab driver have to do the same job because he thinks he was born to do this? Avril if you really mean the words you’ve said in the interview then that’s like – do you know how many more albums you going to make or how long you going to behave in such a high headedness manner. Give me a break please. Quit giving your lame back-handed compliments.

P Diddy fumes over drug deal reports

Hey I kinda thought these rap singers always liked to be associated with some or the other controversy whether it was being involved at taking a swipe at fellow rappers and musicians or being name the prime accused in a drug possessing deal (buying or selling). The rapper has slammed internet reports that suggest that he was seen buying drugs. Diddy was left fuming after an amateur video clip of 41-seconds appeared online featuring him in the party, prompting viewers to suggest that the footage available looked like him being involved in a drug deal. Well firstly in his defense I’d say that until proven guilty there should be no terminology used to say he’s some kinda of drug users or dealer, that later word is a grave use of words by me but if the video is a genuine one then Diddy could soon be in big time trouble. On the contrary if the video is a fake and doctored one then the police better investigate the matter and find who’s behind the conspiracy to defame the rap mogul.

Idol Bomb

american-idol.jpg

After five seasons, the American Idol phenomenon is seemingly about to die down. Last season’s ratings were down from a series high the year before and now, word has come out that their summer concert tour was a big bomb.

I say, we blame it on Sanjaya. We all know that hair can’t sing.

Anyway, the majority of the shows on the American Idols Live tour were half empty or even worse. Why didn’t they just cancel this instead of subjecting themselves to much more embarrassment?

One thing is for sure, American Idol needs to spice things up real good this coming season to spike the ratings again.

Beauty and the Beast

Whether she’s gone under a tone of airbrushing or not, country darling Faith Hill is still quite a beautiful lady. The blonde bombshell looked radiant and fresh faced in New York this past weekend when she and husband Tim McGraw were spotted leaving their midtown Manhattan hotel.

While Faith was looking all kinds of radiant, Tim appeared to be red-faced, puffy, tired and overall just looking beastly. It’s a classic case of beauty and the beast.

Maybe Tim needs a few more hours of sleep. And he is most definitely the one in need of Photoshop not his lovely wife. Where are those airbrushes when you need them?

The Klaxons win UK Mercury Prize

Dance punk group the Klaxons beat out British pop powerhouse Arctic Monkeys and troubled diva Amy Winehouse to win Britain’s Mercury Prize on Tuesday for their debut album, “Myths of the Near Future.”

The Klaxons were awarded the prestigious $40,000 Nationwide Mercury Prize by a panel of judges who called their sound an “ecstatic musical adventure.”

Band member Jaime Reynolds, who was nursing a broken leg and ankle after diving off a stage in France, was overcome with emotion after the win.

“I’ve just been sitting here having the worst two hours of my entire life,” Reynolds said. “It just means so much to us.”

Judges of the prize, which has honored the best album of the year by a British or Irish band since 1992, have a reputation for overlooking populist choices in favor of obscure artists. The honor is awarded on the basis of innovation, rather than commercial sales.

This year’s shortlist was a typically eclectic mix, including nominees ranging from classical quintet Basquiat Strings to post-punk band the Young Knives.

Retro-soul singer Winehouse, whose success has been overshadowed by concerns over her well-being, was also in the running, and ended a run of cancellations by appearing at the ceremony.

The star drew a round of applause as she stepped to the stage to perform her new track, “Love Is a Losing Game.”

Previous winners include the Arctic Monkeys, London rapper Dizzee Rascal, Scottish rockers Franz Ferdinand and Antony and the Johnsons, fronted by British-born but U.S.-raised Antony Hegarsty.

The Game: No-Show At New Zealand Gig

Rapper The Game disappointed fans when he failed to turn up at a hip-hop concert in Auckland, New Zealand on Saturday. The Dreams hitmaker was scheduled to join Akon, Naughty By Nature and Sisqo at the Roc Tha Block gig in the city’s Vector Arena. He might have forgotten to wear his inner wear material and these guys usually don’t wear it anyways so the thought if he made it to the venue he could be dragged of the stage and his clothes would be ripped by the audience for already being so late. The next time he visits New Zealand the ticket holders should be there at the arrival lounge and ask for their money back right there at the Airport itself.

It seems that Justin Timberlake and Timbaland are inseparable. They make hit records, put on killer live shows, and now they even entertain the Las Vegas clubgoers!

The SexyBack singer has been making his rounds in Vegas as of late. He was spotted Friday night at a Kid Rock concert, and has been seen living it up at the clubs and casinos. He even took his mom out for a night on the town.

R&B singer Usher Raymond and his pregnant wife Tameka Foster still don’t know if they’re having a girl or a boy but Usher is wishing and hoping for a son.

In a recent appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres show, Usher reveals that if he gets his way, he’s naming the little tyke after himself. “I’m hoping to name him that. I’ve been playing with a few names. I’m the fourth. Usher Raymond IV. I just want to pass the name on. Maybe I’ll change the middle name.”

Welcome to the world Usher Raymond V. Here’s to hoping that you don’t lose much money because of therapy.

Judge asked to throw out Whitney Houston divorce

Lawyers for R&B singer Bobby Brown asked a California judge on Friday to throw out his divorce from Whitney Houston and reopen the question of custody over the couple’s 14 year-old daughter.

“He did not have his day in court,” Brown’s attorney Stacy Phillips told the Orange County Superior Court.

The uncontested divorce judgment, which became final in April, ended the couple’s stormy 15-year marriage, and Houston got sole custody of daughter Bobbin Kristin Brown.

Phillips said Brown believed the pair were working on their marriage and that Houston had told him not to worry about the divorce proceedings. She said the two had made an agreement.

“Who is he going to rely on the most?” Phillips said. “The woman he loves. He thinks they’re working on their marriage.”

Houston moved from Atlanta to Orange County, south of Los Angeles, when the couple split last year and she went into drug rehab for the third time in three years.

Brown has a history of arrests for failure to pay child support, drug possession and drunk driving. Houston’s lawyer said Brown could appeal or vary the custody award without throwing out the divorce.

Judge Claudia Silas said she would have to listen to testimony from both singers before deciding the issue, and she set a hearing for October 22.

Lawyers for both sides must decide whether the estranged couple can testify by video or should appear in person.
