No Skid Row for Velvet Revolver

Posted by Sam on 30th June 2008 in Guns N' Roses, Music, Music Bands, Velvet Revolver

velvet-revolver.jpg

For some reason, a rumor came out that former Skid Row front man Sebastian Bach will be joining Velvet Revolver. Well, forget the rumors that you might have heard because it’s not happening. However, he has been contacted by current Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash (also of Guns N Roses fame) about working on a top secret project together – or so the British music media reports. It sounds like a lot of trouble if you ask me. Scratch that, I bet it sounds like crap with a butt load of guitars. I hope this doesn’t end up like that Tommy Lee-Gilby Clarke-Jason Newsted project.

Amy Winehouse Lashes Out

Posted by Sam on 29th June 2008 in Amy Winehouse, Festivals

Maybe they should’ve kept her locked up in that hospital room because she’s apparently not ready to be around people. Amy Winehouse is attacking fans!

Seems a fan tried to grab her hair and Amy responded by lunging into the crown and trying to hit the fan. Images taken of the incident did not really show clearly what happened.

This all happened as she played her set at the Glastonbury Festival,

Recently, Morissette opened up about the process of making this record and how she found cathartic support during a big transition in her life. “I often write in retrospect, but this time all was written in real time,” she says. “This record helped me through some fragile moments. Rihanna Takes a Bow

Posted by Sam on 20th June 2008 in Award, MuchMusic, Music Video, Rihanna

muchmusic-rihanna.jpg

Apart from cleaning house at the 2008 MuchMusic Video Awards which was held at the Chum/City Building on Sunday in Toronto, Canada, Rihanna also performed her latest single ‘Take a Bow’. The Barbadian babe changed into a black ruffled top and black leather lace-up boots before her performance which marked the first time the 20-year old performed her song on TV. It was a pretty eventful night for her after she took home two awards out of the two she was nominated for. And still I have to ask – where was her boy toy that night? Or were they trying to be coy again?

Coldplay Singer is a Diva

Posted by Sam on 19th June 2008 in Chris Martin, Coldplay, Music Bands

coldplay.jpg

Gwyneth Paltrow may have rubbed off on her hubby Chris Martin as the Coldplay front man has reportedly gone diva. According to the BBC, the singer walked out a few minutes into a pre-recorded interview for BBC’s Radio 4 because he wasn’t enjoying himself. The band’s drummer Will Champion was then left to answer questions on his own until Chris decided to come back for the last question. It looks like Chris just didn’t want to be grilled by the interviewer on things he has done like commenting a few years back that the band would be on hiatus and the band’s lyrical obsession with death. It looks like someone was on the defensive.

Usher on Firing Momma

Posted by Sam on 15th June 2008 in R&B, Usher

usher.jpg

It’s long been rumored that the reason that Usher’s mom hates his wife Tameka Foster is because Usher fired mom in favor of the wifey. The R&B singer wants to clear that all up in the July issue of Vibe saying “My mother and I decided to change her situation, together. I decided to not fire, not get rid of but … to retire her to be a full-time grandmother.” I guess he was getting tired of being slammed about leaving his mom jobless to give his rumored gold digger wife a job. Me thinks he should have done this clearing up thing last year if he really wanted to save face.
