Kelly Clarkson celebrated the fourth of July by grabbing a quiet lunch at Toast Bakery Café with two of her close friends on Friday. In other Kelly news, 26-year old season one champion of American Idol is currently recording her fourth studio album. She has many collaborators working with her including Sam Watters, Louis Biancaniello and Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic. Sam and Louis may be recreating some magic as their written and produced song ‘Anytime’ appeared on Kelly’s debut album ‘Thankful’ in 2003. She’s got a great line up of collaborators. Let’s hope that reflects on her new album. She needs a success.

Oasis changed album title because of Geri Halliwell

Oasis changed the title of their new album after realising it shared its name with a Geri Halliwell song. The rockers’ forthcoming seventh studio LP was originally due to be called ‘Bag It Up’ until Noel Gallagher’s long-term girlfriend realized she had heard the title before.

The guitarist revealed: “My girlfriend said, ‘Bag It Up’, isn’t that a song by Geri Halliwell?’ I was like, ‘You’ve ruined my entire f***ing year.’”

Noel also revealed the band can’t remember some of the songs they recorded in the sessions for the album, which is now titled ‘Dig Out Your Soul’.

He explained: “I was doing the Electric Proms with The Coral, who had recorded at my studio. They’d had a sneaky listen to our new stuff so singer James Skelly asks me, ‘Are you going to do ‘Soldier On’? I don’t remember it. Turns out Andy Bell recorded it with Liam – but Liam still doesn’t remember it.”

The band recently recruited Robbie Williams’ former drummer Chris Sharrock – and Noel admits he couldn’t resist the chance to hire his rival’s former employee. Noel said: “It was too much of a temptation to p**s Robbie and Liam off in one phone call.”

Adele is planning to move to New York to get over her writer’s block. The Chasing Pavements singer is moving to the US to write her next album because she doesn’t have ‘a personal life’ in the UK.

She said: “I’ve got nothing to write about. Really. I haven’t got a personal life. I’ve decided to move to New York to write my album. I have to change my environment and start again.”

Thankfully, the South London soul singer says that she’s not going to rush the writing process in order to deliver a worthy second album.

She added: “Until I have something normal that your sister, auntie, cousin or mum can relate to, I won’t be writing anything.”
