Buckcherry have just unveiled a live performance of their hit power-ballad “Don’t Go Away.” The video was filmed for Clear Channel’s Stripped live series. The song comes off the band’s Black Butterfly album which hits stores this past fall.

The All-American Rejects have announced they will be playing a FREE show at the famous Hollywood and Highland location Tuesday, December 16th to mark the release of When The World Comes Down. The band will take the stage at 8pm and follow up their performance with an autograph session at the Virgin Megastore.

Also on tap for the Rejects is a performance on the Jimmy Kimmel show on December 18th. Tyson, Nick, Mike and Chris will perform their hit, and first single, “Gives You Hell” in front of a live audience. Tickets for the show are free and can be requested through Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Breakout rock band Saving Abel will join Seether as openers for Nickelback on their North American tour beginning February 25th in Nashville, TN (full schedule below). Saving Abel’s largest outing to date will hit arenas in over 30 cities across the continent. Tickets go on sale beginning Dec. 5th at LiveNation.com.

“We’re thrilled to be opening for Nickelback. It’s crazy, a year ago we were playing small bars and clubs around Memphis and now we’re touring the country in a bus and will be playing with one of the biggest touring rock bands in arenas,” said Saving Abel frontman Jared Weeks.

Saving Abel have been on the road non-stop since the March, 2008 release of their self titled debut from Virgin records and have played with rock heavy weights such as Buckcherry, Avenged Sevenfold, Puddle of Mudd and Shinedown. The band has enjoyed impressive success with their chart-topping, multi-format smash debut single “Addicted,” which hit #1 at mainstream rock radio, spent 11 consecutive weeks at #2 on the active rock chart and reached #7 at alternative radio. Latina magazine is reporting that Shakira will be performing at the Barack Obama inauguration in January. The President-elect’s camps isn’t confirming or the denying the report but I’m inclined to believe it. Latina magazine did break the big news that Mariah Carey married Nick Cannon earlier this year so they’re more reliable than most magazines. Plus, when Shakira endorsed Obama back in October, Obama responded with “It’s an honor for me to receive support from someone with so much talent, from an artist who has been so generous.” There’s mutual love there so it wouldn’t be too big of a stretch for Shakira to perform for him.

It looks like Kanye West wants to be the president of Beyonce’s fan club. In fact, he’s such a big fan that the rapper actually thinks that Beyonce is better than Tina Turner! No one is better than Tina! During a recent interview, Kanye said that Beyonce “is just as great, if not greater, than artists we had in the past. She’s probably greater than Tina Turner.” For a guy who speaks of great art, he doesn’t know what he’s talking about when it comes to Beyonce and Tina. Kanye also adds that “Nobody really wants to recognize that Beyonce is a fucking living legend.”

Chad Kroeger along with the rest of his band mates from Canadian rock band Nickelback opened up to E! at the Tattoo Rock Parlor in Toronto about their newest album ‘Dark Horse’ which was released last week. E! News Weekend’s Arisa Cox whipped out a couple of sex toys and talked about some of the album’s song titles like ‘Something in Your Mouth’, ‘S.E.X’ and ‘I’d Come for You’. With titles like that, even some of the most innocent and frigid people can get their minds going. It was a pretty interesting interview seeing some rugged grown men talking sex toys with a beautiful interviewer.

Taylor Swift recently admitted to CMT that she reads gossip sites to “see what’s going on with celebrities. I like to have things to talk about. It’s not like you can just make movies and sing songs and people aren’t going to want to know who you’re dating and where you’re eating. I’m curious about that too. I’ll admit that.” She also mentioned how she doesn’t pay attention to haters saying “I just try to ignore the ‘I hate her, she’s ugly’ ones. When people can be anonymous, they’re vicious and it’s like the sixth grade stuff like on crack. It’s terrible.”

Lenny Kravitz has just unveiled the video for “Dancin’ Til Dawn,” the third single off his 8th studio album, It Is Time For a Love Revolution. The video was shot and directed by seminal French photographer Jean-Baptiste Mondino who has helmed videos for Madonna, David Bowie, Sting, Bjork and more. The single, “Dancin’ Til Dawn” comes across as the materialization of a career that has spanned almost two decades of classic rock, old-school soul and gritty funk sculpted into a contemporary rock smash.

The fourteen tracks that complete It Is Time For A Love Revolution were written, recorded and produced by Lenny Kravitz himself. The album is available in stores and at digital retailers now.

My Chemical Romance lead singer Gerard Way and his wife, Mindless Self Indulgence’s bassist Lindsey, are working on a new collaboration. The couple is said to be working on being a family as they are expecting their first child. It is being said that the baby is due in the summer of next year. Congratulations to the happy couple! I’m willing to bet that their baby is going to end up as a rock star when he or she grows up. There might even be a chance that the baby will be rocking out by the time it’s ready to come out to the world.

No Doubt is back and they’re making a splash into the scene by going on tour. The band has recently announced on their official website that they will be heading out on the road. Singer Gwen Stefani says that it will be good to reconnect with the fans and play all the good songs. There won’t be much new material though but hitting the road will hopefully inspire the writing process for the new album as the group plans to record while they’re on the road. There are no cities or announced dates yet but I’m sure updates won’t be hard to find.
