Britney Spears to visit sick children in London:

Posted by Sam on 19th March 2009 in Britney Spears

The pop singer reportedly has plans to visit sick children when her tour will bring her to London some time in June. A source had this to say about Britney Spears’ intentions when touring in London: “She would really like to do this. In Miami she met up with 40 kids and posed for pictures with them. She found it really moving that just a couple of minutes with the children could mean so much to them.” I bet that Britney Spears didn’t read about doing something about this in the Bible. Of course, reading some passages from there might have entailed her to such endeavors… but we must not expect so much of Britney Spears. Surely this is the work of someone else!

Taylor Swift hates nude picture of her being thought by people

Posted by Sam on 18th March 2009 in Funny, Taylor Swift

Country music star and glam girl Taylor Swift knows that in their thoughts and remote dreams many people and fans think of her as a desirable and consequently imagine her naked.

She says that she will not discuss sex during any press conference because “It’s fine to talk about love publicly, but I think when you talk about virginity and sex publicly, people just automatically picture you naked. And as much as I can prevent people picturing me naked, I’m going to.”

That’s really naïve of her to say like that if ever one could control the thoughts of young men drilling deep into thoughts of sex then the animal in him and the animal in females would have died a silent death.

Yes it’s complete upon her not to discuss any what she feel not to but hey she just getting more interest into her by saying so. You can prevent people from actually seeing you naked, but that is just about it.

New Jobs for American Idol Rejects

Posted by Sam on 17th March 2009 in American Idol, TV Show

It has only been a few months since American Idol reject Kimberly Caldwell broke up with American Idol champ David Cook. However, it seems that Kimberly has found another Idol partner to look after her – Carly Smithson. The show’s cast offs rolled up to Apple in West Hollywood last week. Before they went inside, cameras caught Carly cleaning the fluff off of Kimberly’s butt. Is Kimberly so stuck up her own butt that she can’t clean her own back side free of dirt? It must suck to be Carly. But oh well, unlike most other Idol rejects, at least she has a job.

Noel Gallagher’s appreciation for the US

Posted by Sam on 17th March 2009 in Oasis

The Oasis guitarist has recently admitted his attachment to the US and says he would like to live there. Noel Gallagher said: “I’ve grown to like America. It’s a place for adults. Once you get past 40 you start to appreciate it. I would love to live in Los Angeles, I’ll get a house between Madonna and Robbie Williams. But I don’t think I could go because of the kids. I can’t have a son with an American accent. I can’t have them calling me pop.” Noel Gallagher’s arguments for not making the move are truly those of an adult… he’s right, who’d want to have kids with American accents and in turn be called pop due to this little detail. Noel Gallagher is indeed making the right choice and demonstrating his adultness… which clearly proves he belongs in America.

Andy Burrows’ experiences with Razorlight

Posted by Sam on 16th March 2009 in Music Bands, Razorlight

Razorlight’s former drummer, Andy Burrows, who quit the band last week, has recently said that being in the band was not a happy camping trip. Andy Burrows had this to say about working with Razorlight: “It was hell. I’m glad I’m finally out of it. I hated being in the band. Johnny and I didn’t get on. Now I’ve got my freedom. He never wanted people to know we both wrote songs and I couldn’t be in control. I’m happy again now.” It sounds like Razorlight’s front man was a real evil stepmother for Andy Burrows. In that case you have to wonder what the “fairy godmother” element in this story was. Maybe Andy Burrows will tell us about that too at a later time.

David Cook’s First Kiss

Posted by Sam on 13th March 2009 in Album Release, David Cook, Music Artist, Music Video

David Cook got ready to share his first on-screen kiss with actress Sarah Roemer as he filmed his new music video for the song ‘Come Back to Me’ at LAX airport in Los Angeles last week. Sarah is the same girl who played Shia LeBeouf’s love interest in the movie ‘Disturbia’. The video is being helmed by Gavin Bowden who has previously worked with the likes of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jason Mraz and Lifehouse. ‘ComeBack to Me’ will be hitting the radio airwaves next month as the follow up single to ‘Light On’, which comes off of the American Idol champ’s self titled album.

Jorge Nunez’s closing statements: American Idol

Posted by Sam on 13th March 2009 in American Idol

The second American Idol contestant to get canned on Wednesday night was Jorge Nunez who had these words to say when asked about how he felt about leaving: “I was not hurt, because I believe that a person should not have any excuse, and when something happens, it’s meant to be, and I took it like a man. And you know, it’s the start of something much, much bigger for me.” Don’t you just love these fatalists and their “it has all been foretold” philosophy. But in this case I can understand how Jorge Nunez doesn’t feel bad at all about it, there’s probably not too much effort involved anyway. If he’s going to be a singer, then it is most certainly meant to happen.

Metallica’s James Hetfield admitted to Swedish hospital

Posted by Sam on 12th March 2009 in Metallica, Music Bands

Roughly 16,000 Metallica fans were preparing to rock it with their favorite band and they got to see them all right. However, the band members sans frontman James Hetfield, went up the stage only to tell them that the show would not go as scheduled. Hard rocking idol Metallica canceled their second and last gig in Stockholm after James Hetfield suffered from dehydration as a result of a stomach bug right before the concert started. So instead of performing for their fans, James Hetfield was confined to a Swedish hospital.

Drummer Lars Ulrich apologized to the audience for the last minute cancellation and told them that as much as the rest of the band want to go on with the show, he is assuring the audience that none of them would want to hear him, Kirk Hammett or Rob Trujillo sing. Metallica also posted the cancellation on their official website and reported that James Hetfield is seeking medical attention at the hospital. The canceled concert was supposed to be the second of two shows scheduled in Stockholm. Metallica promised to come back soon and will reschedule the show sometime this spring. James Hetfield has been released from the hospital and is back in the United States. The show may have been canceled but Metallica’s recent enshrinement to the Rock and Roll hall of Fame will make sure that fans will be there waiting for them when they come back to Stockholm.

Amy Winehouse Bails on Coachella

Posted by Sam on 11th March 2009 in Amy Winehouse, Coachella, Festivals

It is being reported that Amy Winehouse will not be performing at this year’s Coachella music festival. Don’t go hating on her though as Wino cancelled not because she bailed on concertgoers but because the singer has been denied a work visa due to her legal troubles. Wino is due to appear in court next week to settle charges brought against her by a fan who the singer assaulted back in September of last year. A friend of Wino said “Amy is absolutely gutted. She was looking forward to getting back on stage and this was going to be one of the biggest shows of her life… As well as 75,000 fans, there would have been top record execs there too so she might have even tried out some new material.”

Kate Voegele Readies New Album

SINGER-SONGWRITER KATE VOEGELE RETURNS
WITH MUCH-BUZZED-ABOUT NEW ALBUM A FINE MESS

ALBUM PRODUCED BY MIKE ELIZONDO (MAROON 5, PINK, RIHANNA)
AND SCHEDULED FOR A MAY ‘09 RELEASE

Singer-songwriter Kate Voegele is gearing up for the May release of A Fine Mess, the highly anticipated follow-up to her 2008 debut album, Don’t Look Away (MySpace/Interscope). Voegele recorded the album in Los Angeles with producer Mike Elizondo (Rihanna, Maroon 5, Pink).

The 22-year-old has been racking up frequent flier miles of late, jetting back and forth between L.A. and Wilmington, North Carolina, where she’s also shooting new episodes of the CW Network’s hit TV series “One Tree Hill.” This season sees Voegele reprising her role as singer-songwriter Mia. She made headlines last year by performing several songs on the show, all from Don’t Look Away.

In their year-end issue, Billboard magazine spotlighted the 10 biggest film and television placement/appearances of 2008 and put Voegele’s involvement with “One Tree Hill” at No. 1. Wrote Billboard Sr. Editor Ann Donohue, “There’s getting a song placed in a prime-time show and then there’s getting cast in that show to play your own music and have the show’s creator write storylines for you inspired by your songs. Such was the case for Kate Voegele…”.

The new season of “One Tree Hill” will see Voegele giving audiences sneak previews of songs from the upcoming album, beginning with the March 16th episode, when she will premiere a brand-new track titled “Manhattan From The Sky.”

Voegele, hailed by Entertainment Weekly for being among the best of “the new golden age of female singer-songwriters,” spent the majority of 2008 touring in support of debut album Don’t Look Away, the record that earned her “Artist To Watch In ‘08” accolades from Billboard. Over the course of the year, she shared stages with Natasha Bedingfield, The Veronicas, Ben Lee, Cary Brothers and launched her own headlining tour.
Voegele performed on “Live with Regis and Kelly” and CBS’ “The Early Show,” and also appeared on “TRL” and Fuse-TV’s “The Sauce.” She recently gave a special acoustic performance on the ABC-TV’s “The Bachelor.” She’s also been featured on the cover of USA Today’s “Life” section and appeared in the pages of People, CosmoGirl, TV Guide and Giant, to name but a few.

Check out Kate’s latest video blog to sneak a peek inside the studio while she works on the new album.
