Adam Lambert Teams Up with Lady Gaga’s Producer

Posted by Sam on 19th June 2009 in Adam Lambert, Kris Allen, Lady GaGa, Queen

Sometimes, losing American Idol has better perks than actually winning it. Idol runner up Adam Lambert has reportedly begun working with RedOne, the man behind many of Lady Gaga’s hits and who, apparently has a renewed interest in glam rock. A source at RCA Recordings said that Adam’s debut album will feature a Queen-inspired sound that will go beyond what he ever did on the show. That sounds hot. Be sure to watch out for Adam’s debut album which is scheduled to drop this fall. Idol champ Kris Allen will also release his album then. I can’t wait for both debuts and see another showdown.

Beth Ditto Gets Slammed

In a recent article, British journalist Alex Blimes launches a couple of hits toward Beth Ditto, her band the Gossip and the entire fashion industry, calling them stupid. He says that the fashion industry’s love for the singer is a transparent ploy to “get the feminazis off their case” and that Beth is “just as bad an example to young women as a girl ten stone lighter than her.” The journalist also commented on the release of the Gossip’s fourth album ‘Music for Men’, calling the band a “deeply average, resolutely unsuccessful rock band.” Does anyone even know who this guy is?

Pete Wentz Talks Ashlee Simpson

Pete Wentz recently celebrated his 30th birthday a few weeks back and he recently talked about what his favorite gift was. The Fall Out Boy bassist said that “My wife [Ashlee Simpson] gave me a pretty creative video, then she gave me the camera she made the video with which was cool. It’s like a home video and has [my son] Bronx in it.” What’s so spectacular about that? You can make a home video anytime. He could have at least given some details on what Bronx was doing in the video. I wonder what else he’ll be filming with that camera. A sex tape perhaps?

Black Eyed Peas ‘The E.N.D.’ Lands At #1 On The Billboard 200 Chart

Black Eyed Peas’ “The E.N.D.” bows at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 304,000 — the hip-pop act’s best sales week ever. It’s also the first No. 1 album for the group, which had previously gone as high as No. 2. Its last set, 2005’s “Monkey Business,” bowed in the runner-up slot with a then-best 291,000. It had the unfortunate luck to come out the same week as Coldplay’s “X&Y,” which kept the Peas’ at bay when it started at No. 1 with 737,000. -via Billboard.com
