Panic at the Disco has sort of broken up. Members Ryan Ross, credited to be the creative mastermind, and Jon Walker are leaving the band to pursue other musical endeavors. According to their official website, “Though the four of us have made music together in the past, we’ve creatively evolved in different directions which has compromised what each of us want to personally achieve.” The remaining band members will continue to record and tour as planned. They obviously still want to make money under the name but who will take Ryan and Jon’s place? Would Panic at the Disco even be the same without them?

Despite earlier reports, Debbie Rowe, the self-proclaimed biological mother of Michael Jackson’s two eldest children, is asking for their custody following the singer’s sudden passing. The late King of Pop’s mother, Katherine Jackson, has been granted temporary custody of Prince, Paris and ‘Blanket’. Michael’s will also named his mother as the ultimate custodian. Debbie says that she is willing to submit to DNA and psychological tests in order to gain custody of the kids. She also says that she is concerned with splitting the 3 up and is willing to take on the youngest, whose surrogate mother was never identified. I’m sure she’s very concerned, especially when inheritance comes into play.

Glastonbury bosses are reportedly lining up acts such as David Bowie, Noel and Liam Gallagher from Oasis, and The Who for next year’s UK festival.
It is claimed organisers Michael and Emily Eavis want the festival’s 40th anniversary next year to be the best yet with performing acts from the last four decades.
A source said: “Michael and Emily want to make next year’s festival the most memorable ever. They’ve got a number of ideas up their sleeves, but one they are already working on is getting past performers to play at the next bash.
“They’ve sent out feelers and have got a lot of positive feedback so far. And if they manage to pull their plan off, then, without a shadow of a doubt, they will have one of the greatest musical bills ever put together in history.”

Fans have flocked to a tree stump in Stockton, California, where the King Of Pop’s face mysteriously appeared just days after his death.
Felix Garcia spotted the likeness as he was gardening and considers its appearance to be a spiritual sign.
“I was standing by that bush, and I looked up and saw that image here,” Garcia said.
“I walked up to it, and I said, ‘man, this looks like Michael Jackson’.”
Since his discovery, Garcia said neighbours and complete strangers have been dropping by to take a look.
Neighbour Juanita Hernandez agrees Jackson can be seen in the stump.
She said: “You can see it. There’s something there.”
Garcia said he believed the image most resembled Jackson in his early twenties before plastic surgery.
“I just hope it lasts a long time. I hope to take some pictures of it and blow them up because there are a lot of people who loved him,” Garcia said

The music producer recently came out with his opinion in regards to whether Michael Jackson wanted to be black or not. The verdict is that Michael Jackson supposedly didn’t suffer from vitiligo, but he just didn’t want to be black, or so claims Quincy Jones: “I don’t believe in any of that bullshit, no. No. Never. I’ve been around junkies and stuff all my life. I’ve heard every excuse. It’s like smokers – ‘I only smoke when I drink’ and all that stuff. But it’s bullshit. You’re justifying something that’s destructive to your existence. But when somebody’s hell-bent on it, you can’t stop ‘em. What his face turned into is ridiculous. Chemical peels and all of it. And I don’t understand it. But he obviously didn’t want to be black. You see his kids?” Well, this comes at a good time, namely just when everybody was probably growing sympathetic to Michael Jackson’s condition. Boy, Quincy Jones sure knows how pick ‘em!

Michael Jackson reportedly wanted to quit music, just months before his tragic death.
The King of Pop died in LA suddenly on June 25 after he reportedly suffered a heart attack.
His close friend Bryan Michael Stoller, who knew Jacko for 20 years, said the star was planning to move away from music and into film-making.
He said: “It was almost as if he’d lost his love for music. He was so frail and exhausted.
“He wanted to move into film-making and told me it was much more important to him than music.”
But Jackson had signed up to perform 50 shows at London’s O2 Arena, which were due to start later this year, and Stoller claimed the stress of the tour was making him ill.
He said: “He looked like he wasn’t taking very good care of himself at all. He tried to be upbeat about the tour, but you could see that he was down and depressed. I have never seen him so bad.”

Many fans believed that there will be a public viewing for Michael Jackson at Neverland Ranch today. However, the Associated Press has reported that the viewing wasn’t going to happen. Reports are now saying that a funeral and burial will most likely take place in Los Angeles rather than the late singer’s ranch in Santa Barbara County. The Jackson family has also released a statement regarding the matter saying “Contrary to previous news reports, the Jackson family is officially stating that there will be no public or private viewing at Neverland. Plans are underway regarding a public memorial for Michael Jackson, and we will announce those plans shortly.”

After Michael Jackson’s sudden death last week, his greatest hits and even some of his lesser known songs have earned nonstop radio airplay to honor his memory. According to Billboard, the late King of Pop’s airplay increased by 1735% from last week. Prior to his death, the singer’s hit ‘Rock with You’ was heard around 500 times in a week. But in the past week, 22 of Michael’s song were played over 1000 times! Leading in the airplay is ‘Billie Jean’ which places the track at number 51 among the titles for the past week. That’s not bad for a song that was released back in 1983.

Michael Jackson’s highly anticipated ‘This is It’ spectacular which was set to go down at London’s O2 Arena will now continue as a tribute show. A-list performers are expected to appear and replicate what was planned for the late King of Pop’s shows. It has been rumored that Madonna will be taking the stage as the singer was set to make a surprise appearance during Michael’s run at the O2 Arena. According to a tour organizer, one performance is set to take place in September but a decision on where the show will take place has not been made yet. It is being said that the likeliest place will be LA though. I wonder who else will take part in it.
