Mariah Carey is shameless and I don’t know whether to laugh, feel sorry or actually applaud her for it. The singer has been gushing to the media about how much she loves Woody Allen and how she would die to be able to work with the famed director. Mariah said at the Oscars “I’ve never met him, but ‘Bullets Over Broadway’ is one of my favorite movies ever. I can quote every word. I think it’s amazing.” I doubt that she’s going to get a call anytime soon so bring on more entertainment and shameless plugging. Keep on dreaming Mariah!

Jessica Simpson premiered a new song called ‘Who We Are’ on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show on Tuesday morning. The song is the theme song for her new reality series ‘The Price of Beauty’ which premieres on March 15 on VH1. The 29-year old singer shared about what gave her inspiration for the song saying “I was inspired to write whenever I got back from traveling the world. It’s about the discoveries I found within myself and realizing that I defined my own beauty for myself. We all struggle with the same issues. We all battle self-esteem. It’s just about being good enough for yourself.”

Will.I.Am is sending kids to college with his i.am scholarship fund, coming up with the idea after receiving a hefty pay check for deejaying a while back. The hip hop singer explains “I did the math and I could send three kids to school. It’s one thing to make it – and you’ve got your own apartment, or house, or car – and you keep it for you. That’s not making it. Making it is spreading it. You watch the news and you’ve got Obama talking about our health reform, you got Al Qaeda, you have the economy, and nobody’s talking about education. And that is the scariest, because we could have a nation full of dummies.” In addition to having their tuition paid, the recipients also get the opportunity for an internship at Dipdive.com, Will.I.Am’s social networking site and a job there after graduation.

Michael Lynche nails the right notes

Last night it was the boys’ turn to tear at each others’ flesh to stay on American Idol and it seems that Michael Lynche is the one who managed to get on top of the whole pile. He apparently did a very theatrical version of Kate Bush’s “This Woman’s Work” and he also nailed some pretty hard vocal work. This is what Simon Cowell said of his performance: “This was so needed tonight! You 100 percent nailed it. Not only the best performance of the night, it’s the best performance during the live shows.” If Simon Cowell says that it is so, then it must be so. The other judges concurred so it looks like Michael Lynche will be with us next week too to try and claim the grand prize of stardom.

Pussycat Dolls Creator Talks Band’s Future

Now that the Pussycat Dolls as we knew them are over, the band’s creator Robin Antic has spoken out on what exactly to expect when she reboots the all girl group with brand new members and what lead singer Nicole Scherzinger’s role in the band may be. Robin said “Some of the girls who have shared the stage and spotlight with Nicole are ready to begin artistic journeys of their own and I support them completely. I am happy to announce the creation of a NEW Pussycat Dolls, with Nicole Scherzinger continuing on as lead singer. Trashy pop singer Ke$ha is apparently having some sort of bizarre spiritual re-awakening so she bought a new accessory that really would make any normal person just want to barf even more than usual when she comes to mind. She said “I’m into energy. I recently went to see a past-life regressionist, who is also a psychic. I wear my placenta around my neck every day, because it’s supposed to give you second sight. I feel like I’ve had many lifetimes before.” Couldn’t that past life person thingy told her to grab a shower instead or shut her mouth shut?

Mel C wants Spice Girls’ kids to form own group

Former Spice Girls star Mel C wants the band members’ kids to form their own group in the future.

The singer gave birth to the latest ‘Spice baby’ last year when her daughter Scarlet was born, bringing the total number of Spice Girls offspring to eight.

She said: “The Spice brood is constantly growing and I think they’re destined for great things. They’ll be either a band or a football team.”

Joining Scarlet is Emma Bunton’s son Beau, Mel B’s two daughters Angel and Phoenix Chi, Victoria Beckham’s sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, and Geri Halliwell’s daughter Bluebell.

John Park’s big plans for this week

It’s a real shame that the American Idol contestant got voted off, it seems John Park had some really interesting ideas for the continuation of the contest. For instance, he was planning on singing Britney Spears this week… a bold choice no doubt. Plus a whole bunch of other songs just lined up for the audience. Apparently, the idea of being criticized was what threw John Park off his game. He did however admit that Simon Cowell congratulated him backstage for making it as far as he did… he might have misinterpreted the Earl of Exigency’s message on that one, but hey, as long as John Park goes home content, why bother with it?

J-Kwon Found

Rapper J-Kwon was recently reported missing but thankfully, he contacted his label Gracie Entertainment as soon as he heard about it. J-Kwon declined to make an official statement but the co-CEO spoke in behalf of the rapper and said “I am very happy to let everyone know that I personally spoke with J-Kwon today, and he is okay. He’d like to send a sincere apology to his friends and everyone who showed concern this week. He was taking some time to himself as he sometimes does, not realizing that people would start to worry after a while. A few days out of touch versus a month is quite a difference. Right now he just wants to keep doing what he’s doing, and will be more available for those who care about him. We thank you again for your outreach, and we are relieved to know he’ll be alright.” It’s good to know that he’s safe and sound.

Jay-Z’s Security Shoves Fan Off Stage

Jay-Z’s security team made quick work of a stage crasher during the rapper’s concert in Washington DC last week by bull rushing the guy off of the stage before the fan even knew what hit him. Jay and Memphis Bleek were in the middle of a performance when everything went down and continued rapping as their bodyguard sent the stage crasher flying off. A security guard on the ground tried to catch the guy but both just ended up taking a nasty fall. Here’s to hoping that no one ends up getting slapped with a lawsuit. Though the guards were in the right by getting him off the stage, I’m just not sure if brute force was the best way.

Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden planning to move in with girlfriend Holly Madison

Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden is reportedly planning to move in with girlfriend Holly Madison.

Madden, 30, has been dating the former Playboy star since December and reports in the US say they are now heading for the next step in their relationship.

A source said to In Touch: “Benji cares very much for Holly. They have been talking about living together.”

The couple were recently see kissing during shooting for an IT BOYS! music video in California. The source added: “Benji kept telling her how amazing she looked. They couldn’t keep their eyes off each other.”

Madden discovered the band with his twin brother Joel and they asked Madison to make an appearance in the video.

Rihanna Breaks Beyonce’s Record

Rihanna’s new single ‘Rude Boy’ is the 14th track from the Barbadian singer to make its way on the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 singles. That officially breaks Beyonce’s record of having the most Top 10s by a female artist in a decade. Rihanna is now even with Ludacris and is only second to Jay-Z who has 15 Top 10s. I am absolutely thrilled for her even though I’m not into the current music that she has. I hope that her upcoming release is much better. I also hope that Beyonce doesn’t resurrect Sasha Fierce or she might get her title back.

No American Idol on Twitter and Facebook

At the beginning of the year, each of the contestants on this season of American Idol had their very own Twitter and Facebook page established so they could communicate with their fans. However, someone at FOX must have foreseen a future where the aspiring singers began to turn on the show virally so the show now has just one Twitter and Facebook account for all of the contestants to share. It’s likely that the individual pages got axes to keep the front runners a big mystery. The real mystery for me on this season is how most of them got on the show to begin with. I can maybe vouch for two or three people about their talents but nada for everyone else.

In an attempt to appear like a genuine artist, Ke$ha has decided to run her mouth off and attack Britney Spears for not singing live at her concerts. Ke$ha said “I don’t think that’s fair at all for people who are going to see the show. I think if you are going to be a singer, you should sing. If you are going to be a dancer, you should dance. If you are going to do a combination of the two, you should make it very clear when you are singing and very clear when you are dancing… I have been up at three in the morning for a television show with jet lag but I refuse to mime. It’s treating people as if they are too stupid to realize you are not actually singing. Sometimes it is hard to sing and dance at the same time but I would rather be off and be real and genuine about it to my fans. I don’t want to treat my fans like they are stupid.”
