Ashley Tisdale has just released her brand new single “It’s Alright, It’s OK!” The track premiered earlier this morning live with Ryan Seacrest on KIIS FM. Co-written by Swedish production team Twin, the song is a spunky break-up anthem about being single and in control of your life for the first time.

“I love break-up songs,” Tisdale says. “Everyone can relate to those moments when you need to vent your frustration about a previous relationship. ‘It’s Alright, It’s OK’ is about how you need to stand up for yourself and not let someone walk all over you; it’s a message I wanted to get across to other girls.”

An accompanying video to “It’s Alright, It’s OK” will premiere on MySpace’s on April 21st with feature support from such major online partners as AOL Music and Yahoo! Music, and MTV.com will premiere exclusive “making of the video” footage the week of the single’s release. Tisdale stars in the video with actor Adam Gregory (the CW’s 90210), who plays her ex-boyfriend. The clip was directed by Scott Speer, who has helmed previous videos for Tisdale as well as those from Jordin Sparks and David Archuleta.

Platinum-selling singer/songwriter Taylor Hicks will thrill longtime fans, and inspire new audiences, with the release of his anticipated new studio album, The Distance, on March 10. The album will be released on Hicks’ Modern Whomp Records label and distributed through a partnership with independent artist services company Artist To Market (A2M). Debuting January 27 digitally is the first single “What’s Right Is Right,” a mid-tempo song about love and commitment, driven by funky keyboards and sax work.

Produced by Simon Climie (Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Faith Hill), and tapping the talents of guitarist Doyle Bramhall II, bassist Nathan East and drummer Abe Laboriel Jr., The Distance includes eleven tracks, some co-written by Hicks: “Wedding Day Blues,” “Seven Mile Breakdown,” “What’s Right is Right,” “Hide Nor Hair,” “Woman Gotta Have It,” “New Found Freedom,” “The Distance,” “Nineteen,” “I Live on a Battlefield,” “Yes We Can,” “Maybe You Should,” “Once Upon a Lover of Mine,” “Keepin It Real” and “Indiscriminate Act of Kindness.”

Since becoming Season 5 winner of “American Idol,” Taylor Hicks has seen his self-titled debut album certified platinum, performed with Willie Nelson, Widespread Panic, The Allman Brothers and Jackson Browne, toured through Asia, penned the Random House memoir Heart Full of Soul, and made his Broadway debut as Teen Angel in Grease. Hana Pestle is a self-proclaimed Twilight fanatic. The nineteen year old singer/songwriter from Billings, Montana believes she has the perfect song for the next movie and has started a movement to get “Need” in the forthcoming New Moon. The hauntingly beautiful track was one of her first compositions written at only fifteen years old in 2004. It was produced /co-written for her album by Ben Moody (co-founder of Evanescence) and Michael “Fish” Herring with string arrangements by David Campbell and piano performance by David Hodges (Kelly Clarkson, Daughtry). House of Heroes have just premiered their version of the holiday classic “Silent Night.” The Ohio band, whose most recent album The End Is Not The End was delivered via digital stores, has seen an incredible response with the release making it to the #6 spot on the iTunes rock chart and #42 on the overall chart, with a #1 radio hit single and over 1 million plays on their MySpace page. House of Heroes’ discography includes a 2005 self-titled debut and the re-release Say No More in 2006. Prior to signing a record deal with Mono Vs Stereo/Gotee, the band released an indie project What You Want Is Now (2002) to much critical acclaim and a large grassroots following.

Canadian melodic-rockers State of Shock will be digitally releasing their album, Life, Love & Lies on December 23rd. Already a headlining act up north, the band have set their sites on the States with a supporting slot on Staind’s current U.S. tour. State of Shock have also just re-released their track “Rollin” which was originally released on their Canadian debut album. The Gabe Dixon Band’s self titled, Fantasy Records debut will be released on 8/26 and has already become a favorite of 2008. Paste calls Dixon “the next great Pop Piano Man. More soulful than Ben Folds, and far less irritating than the Elton John of the past thirty years, Dixon will remind you of Elton when he still had hair and was making albums like Tumbleweed Connection and Madman Across the Water.” The Gabe Dixon Band’s self-titled album was recorded live at Nashville’s renowned Blackbird Studios.

Lesley Roy premiered her first ever music video for “I’m Gone, I’m Going.” on FN MTV! The Max Martin (Kelly Clarkson, Bon Jovi, NSYNC) produced track is the first single off of Unbeautiful, which is slated for release on September 30th. Roy will also chat with Pete Wentz and dish about some of her favorite videos. The 21-year-old singer/songwriter/guitarist has come a long way from working in a factory in her hometown of Balbriggan, Ireland to being on the verge of a huge breakthrough onto the American music scene. In addition to Roy’s big debut, the show will include a performance from the Jonas Brothers and video premieres from Shwayze, Slipknot and Nelly.
