Lady Gaga Says Jonas Brothers = The Beatles

Lady Gaga’s comments always seem to be as unique as the singer’s style. The ‘Poker Face’ singer recently made another pop culture prophecy by comparing the fandom of iconic rock band The Beatles to the current-day Jonas Brothers mania. Lady Gaga mused “Now we have the Jonas Brothers representing the return of the superfan.” I’m not too sure about that. If memory serves me right, didn’t the Backstreet Boys, Hanson, NSYNC and even the New Kids on the Block bring back the superfan over a decade ago? I guess Lady Gaga wasn’t even aware enough of those fandoms to have made the comparison.

Bob Dylan’s duet with Paul McCartney wish:

Posted by Sam on 8th May 2009 in BOB DYLAN, Beatles, Paul McCartney, Rock

The singer recently stated his wishes of collaborating with the famous former Beatle musician. Bob Dylan said: “That would be exciting to do something with Paul. But you know your paths have to cross for something like that to make sense.” A source also added the following about a possible collaboration between Bob Dylan and Paul McCartney: “This would obviously be a major moment in musical history if Bob and Paul got together and it’s quite likely that Paul will be interested.” A major moment in musical history? The invention of the flute was a major moment in musical history… this is just a vague possibility of circumstance. Either way, Paul McCartney doesn’t seem to have any thoughts on the matter as of yet so revolutionizing musical history will probably have to wait for a bit.

Paul McCartney’s successful genes:

Posted by Sam on 10th April 2009 in Beatles, Paul McCartney

The former Beatles musician commended his daughter’s success and gave his genes as the main reason for it. Paul McCartney said the following about his daughter, Stella McCartney: “Well, the genes are there. She’s a very clever girl. She’s very brave, and she has solid principles that she’s stuck with against all odds, so I respect her for that. I’m a very proud dad.” Yeah, well, what father wouldn’t be proud of a daughter like that… and use the opportunity to polish his image a bit with it. Paul McCartney seems to be no exception, still he should be commended for Stella McCartney’s solid principles… he must’ve been quite the “vigilant” parent to inspire her in that direction.

Ringo Starr & Sir Paul McCartney studio reunion coming up

Posted by Sam on 8th April 2009 in Beatles, Paul McCartney, Reunions, Ringo Starr

Ringo Starr & Sir Paul McCartney, two of the remaining Beatles legends are set to reunite to a studio album reunion which if it happens will be the 1st time in over decade that the two will collaborate together.

The new music collaboration is seen as a direct result of the stage reunion that the pair had on Saturday in New York where they took to the stage for David Lynch’s Change Begins Within concert in aid of Transcendental Meditation. The last time Ringo Starr & Sir Paul McCartney were on stage together was in 2002 as part of a tribute concert for George Harrison.

It’s always better late than never but what I clearly fail to understand is what draws them together at times and then what reason is behind falling apart sooner than later. The latest example is ‘Smashing Pumpkins’ drummer quitting the band after rejoining the band post years of staying away.

But you to say that this would be one of the more pleasant reunions as against other whom just join hands again to pull commercial value that remains in the former band’s name.

John Lennon Sucks

For $40,000, you can hear a wasted John Lennon sing about sucking nipples. There was a recent auction at the auction house Bonham’s which sold Lennon’s outtake of the 1973 song ‘Just Because’ to the highest bidder. According to the NY Post, on the track, you hear the former Beatle slue “I wanna take all them new singers, Carol and the other one with the nipples, I wanna take ‘em and hold ‘em tight, all them people that James Taylor had… I wanna suck your nipples, baby!” I’m guessing that Carol is Carole King and the so called other one with the nipples is Carly Simon.

Paul McCartney to release unheard Beatles songs

Posted by Sam on 17th November 2008 in Beatles, Paul McCartney, Singers, Songs

Paul McCartney says that he has with him in a collection, old Beatles songs that have never been released or heard before. He says the reason why they weren’t release earlier is that other members of the band thought that the experimental track ‘Carnival of Light’ was way to adventurous.

But he know considers that the public will appreciate that track and is planning to seek the permission of Ringo, the only other surviving Beatle, George’s widow Olivia & John’s widow Yoko Ono to release the 1967 record.

Paul told BBC Radio 4 “I said to the guys, this is a bit indulgent, but would you mind giving me 10 minutes? All I want you to do is just wander round all the stuff and bang it, shout, play it. Then we put a bit of echo on it. It’s very free.”

Well certainly the public would love to hear something that the Beatles as a band found indulgent. But these things come in installments, like every few years there is a noise of some unreleased, unheard Beatles composition waiting to be heard after so many years.

Paul McCartney is a Fireman

Posted by Sam on 11th October 2008 in Album Release, Beatles, New CD DVD, Paul McCartney

Paul McCartney is bringing back his alter ego, Fireman, by collaborating with some producer named Youth. Their new project, a CD called ‘Electric Arguments’ is set to come out on November 17th. Paul and Youth released an ambient dance album called ‘Strawberries Oceans Ships Forest’ back in 1993. The former Beatle’s involvement was initially a secret but later leaked out. They followed that up with another electronic release in 1998. The new offering from Paul and Youth will reportedly feature more traditional song writing, including classic rock and acoustic tracks, “yet is in keeping with the genre-hopping spirit of the first two Fireman albums.”

McCartney Boasts Of His Decadent Youth

Paul McCartney has boasted of his “decadent” womanizing years in The Beatles, during a candid interview with troubled rocker Pete Doherty. McCartney requested Doherty interview him for a British newspaper, after watching his band Babyshambles perform on TV. You go Paul; you deserve the best that the world has to offer. You have given so much to mankind you should get a little in return. I only wish the women in your life were as awesome as the band you were in. Some the women in your life have just entered your life to turn you into some trash that you certainly are not and rob you of your money that you have earned because of your sheer talent. Just look at how Heather Mills is trying and maybe succeeding at getting a large chuck of your fortune and you haven’t been able to kick aside these gold diggers from your life. Life is certainly to have fun and when you have the money there’s nothing to stop you too, but old guy act wisely or else you’d be like that tennis player Borg who left with nothing despite winning millions.
