He reportedly said that he will co-operate by providing his DNA to determine whether he is the father of a baby boy born on 4 February.

It comes after LA resident Alexsandra Wright filed court papers naming Knowles as the father of the child, called Nixon.

She alleges the baby was conceived during an 18-month affair with the music manager, who has been married to Beyoncé’s mother for 30 years.

A further court date is scheduled for next week in the ongoing paternity case.

Knowles, 59, said that he will “certainly” undergo a DNA test when he is ordered to do so, according to reports.

He said: “Last week, they said it was a girl, this week they said it was a boy. “We do have a court date, but none of that means anything until DNA testing is done.”

He added: “I’ll leave that in the hands of the attorneys.”

Beyoncé’s mother, stylist Tina Knowles, filed for divorce from her husband last November – one month after news of the alleged affair emerged.
