Bruce Springsteen is looking to add “author” to his resume. The rock star is reportedly working on his autobiography which is allegedly composed of voluminous journals that the singer has meticulously kept over the years. Although the Boss has yet to sell the rights to them, insiders are saying that his life story has the potential to be the biggest rock music autobiography of all time and get up to $10 million for world rights. Who knew? Bruce is also said to be looking to hire a research assistant to help him compose the rock autobiography. I thought he kept journals, why would he need help getting things straight?

I’m sure a lot of Lady Gaga fans are very excited for her newest release ‘The Fame Monster’ and I bet that excitement will grow exponentially once everyone finds out the details of the albums Deluxe Edition. On top of the 8 new studio recordings, it includes the original album ‘The Fame’ and ‘Book of Gaga’ – a highly stylized art book that comes in a custom slipcase documenting the singer’s rise into pop super stardom. It includes a lock of Lady Gaga’s hair, collectible puzzle, pictorials, a behind the scenes look at her creative process, pull out posters, themed fanzines, a paper doll collection, 3D glasses to view forthcoming visuals and personal notes from Lady Gaga. Wow!

We all know the music and media that our favorite celebrities are into but do you know about the books that influenced them? Jay-Z has provided O Magazine with the six books that “absolutely made a difference” in his life. The rapper lists his favorites as ‘The Seat of the Soul’ by Gary Zukav, ‘The Celestine Prophecy’ by James Redfield, ‘The Odyssey’ by Homer, ‘Outliers’ by Malcolm Gladwell, ‘Purple Cow’ by Seth Godin and ‘Nigger’ by Dick Gregory. I’m kind of surprised by some of his picks. Those are deep stuff man. I didn’t even know that he’s into that type of stuff.

‘Slash’, an autobiography was written by Slash himself along with Anthony Bozza (who also helped write Tommy Lee’s book ‘Tommyland’). The book is an intensely personal account of struggle and triumph, filled with stories of women, drugs, lawsuits, rehab, riots, and all sorts of debauchery.

A big part of the book is that for the first time, Slash tells the tale that has yet to be told from the inside of Guns ‘N’ Roses: how the band came together, how they wrote the music that defined an era, how they survived insane, never-ending tours, how they survived themselves, and, ultimately, how it all fell apart.
‘Slash’, a book is sure to swirl up controversy with its brutally honest stories straight from Slash himself. Readers can find more info on the book, Here
