Coldplay star Chris Martin has denied reports that he cheated on his wife with actress Kate Bosworth.

Reports recently surfaced that the singer had been seen kissing the 26-year-old Blue Crush actress, but a source close to Martin, 32, said the rumours are untrue.

An insider revealed: “Chris did not hook up with Kate in public or private. Chris has enough to deal with his work, his children and Gwyneth.

“He is not adding an affair with another A-lister to his list of things to do.”

Martin is married to Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow, 37, with whom he has two kids Apple and Moses.

The source added: “Chris pretty much laughed off the accusations and as ever, Gwyneth was fairly unaffected.

“She trusts Chris would not cheat on her in such a blatant, public manner.”

Jay-Z Loves Coldplay

The Jay-Z and Coldplay tour hit up Wembley Stadium in London last weekend and the rapper ambushed his good friend Chris Martin with a hug while the band’s lead singer was playing the piano. A concertgoer said “It was a strange moment. Everyone went wild when Jay-Z joined the boys on stage but seeing him grab Chris away from the piano and onto the floor was a bit weird to say the least.” The two then rolled around on the stage floor for some time before Jay-Z let Chris continue on with the show. I wonder if anyone was able to get a video of this.

Coldplay star Chris Martin said he would consider making a solo album only if he split with wife Gwyneth Paltrow and “desperately” needed money

Coldplay star Chris Martin said he would consider making a solo album only if he split with wife Gwyneth Paltrow and “desperately” needed money.

Chris, 33, is married to Hollywood actress Gwyneth, 36, and said he is not planning a solo album any time soon.

He said: “It would probably mean I’ve been dumped by my wife and I desperately need the money.

“Hell would not only have to freeze over but be skated over and completely closed up.

“The Pope would have to declare it didn’t even exist. I cannot think of anything worse.”

Chris and the rest of the band are currently touring the world and have been watching DVD boxsets of hit US TV series The Wire while away from home.

Chris said: “The main thing I do on tour is write, then go watch The Wire.”

Chris Martin’s undeserved success

Posted by Sam on 27th March 2009 in Chris Martin, Coldplay

The “Coldplay” front man thinks that his band doesn’t deserve the success they have and they still have to prove themselves. Chris Martin said: “Every day I wake up and think, ‘OK, today we’ve got to really prove ourselves. We’ve got to justify where we are.’ I always feel like my dad’s going to burst through my bedroom door at any moment and wake me up to go back to my real job.” Considering that Chris Martin recently fulfilled one of his father’s dreams, the situation is most likely the other way around and it is Chris Martin who will have to do the waking-up. Still, it is probably better to see that Coldplay maintain their piousness and don’t get affected by that most dreadful disease which we may refer to as the “U2” syndrome… or perhaps the old “Oasis” plague that seems to ravage in some places.

Coldplay’s legal issues

Posted by Sam on 11th February 2009 in Coldplay, Hit Song, Music Bands

The British rock band is having a bit of trouble legally since Joe Satriani has stated that their song “Viva la Vida” is based on one of his own creations, “If I could fly”, and has hired a team of legal representatives to present Coldplay with lawsuit papers at the Grammys. Coldplay’s drummer, Will Champion, said: “It’s so far-fetched and ridiculous. But that’s about all we can say at the moment. We’re waiting to see what’s happening but it’s frustrating and annoying and totally unfounded.” What perplexes me is the following: are Coldplay really that good that they can copy something from Joe Satriani?

Chris Martin Denies Marriage Trouble

Posted by Sam on 24th December 2008 in Chris Martin, Coldplay

From one couple’s marriage troubles to another. Despite all the divorce rumors surrounding Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, the Coldplay front man is denying that they are having any trouble at all. He said “I’m trying to think of when the last bit of bad news was. Well there hasn’t been anything for a while. I’m supposed to be getting divorced but those things aren’t happening so don’t really count as bad news.” That’s what they all say. But look at Madonna and Guy Ritchie. They went that route before but we all know how they ended up don’t we?

Coldplay Responds to Alleged Plagiarism

Posted by Sam on 15th December 2008 in Coldplay, Hit Song

Coldplay has responded to the accusations of rock guitar icon Joe Satriani that the UK band ripped him off with their hit single ‘Viva La Vida’. The band released a statement on their website saying “With the greatest possible respect to Joe Satriani, we have now unfortunately found it necessary to respond publicly to his allegations. If there are any similarities between our two pieces of music, they are entirely coincidental, and just as surprising to us as to him. Joe Satriani is a great musician, but he did not write the song Viva La Vida. We respectfully ask him to accept our assurances of this and wish him well with all future endeavours.”

Coldplay Knits

Posted by Sam on 8th September 2008 in Coldplay, Music Bands

Sex, drugs, rock and roll and… knitting? Coldplay front man Chris Martin recently spoke about the band’s hobby of knitting together for one very odd image in my head. He says “Making clothes together in our studio makes us feel complete. We probably sound like a group of grannies in a knitting circle but it’s the truth and it gives us some control over our visual identity. When you are a big band and everyone is taking shots at you, the more things you can do together the better.” Whatever floats your boat. I don’t think knitting is a way of showing anyone just how strong and manly you are so they stop picking on you.

Coldplay Singer is a Diva

Posted by Sam on 19th June 2008 in Chris Martin, Coldplay, Music Bands

Gwyneth Paltrow may have rubbed off on her hubby Chris Martin as the Coldplay front man has reportedly gone diva. According to the BBC, the singer walked out a few minutes into a pre-recorded interview for BBC’s Radio 4 because he wasn’t enjoying himself. The band’s drummer Will Champion was then left to answer questions on his own until Chris decided to come back for the last question. It looks like Chris just didn’t want to be grilled by the interviewer on things he has done like commenting a few years back that the band would be on hiatus and the band’s lyrical obsession with death. It looks like someone was on the defensive.

Chris Martin’s ghostly influence

Posted by Sam on 12th June 2008 in Album Release, Chris Martin, Coldplay

chris-martin.jpg

Chris Martin says the new Coldplay album was influenced by ghosts. The 31-year-old front man – whose group release ‘Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends’ tomorrow – had a spooky encounter while recording their fourth LP.

He said: “I have had one experience in Wales. I woke up and there was this sort of hot air moving around the end of the bed. And it wasn’t Jonny Buckland breaking wind!”

Chris – who is married to Hollywood beauty Gwyneth Paltrow – has a fascination with the supernatural and the part they play in people’s destiny.

He added: “Ghosts are supposed to be people who haven’t found their final place, right? And we just thought it would be funny to spend your whole life trying to get to heaven and then you get to the gates and they say, ‘You didn’t quite make it.’ And that kept popping up in my head, the idea of not being on the guest list.”

Father-of-two Chris isn’t the only rocker to have claimed he has seen a ghost.

Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher believes he saw the apparition of his idol late Beatle John Lennon, while Sir Paul McCartney also claims his former bandmate Lennon appeared to him as a peacock.
