Joe Jonas is prepared to go to war over a blog posting that insists he and his underage ex-girlfriend Demi Lovato are currently friends with benefits. In fact, the Jonas Brothers singer’s lawyers are already on the attack. His attorney recently fired off a letter to a Canadian entertainment blogger, blasting the guy for a story which implied that Joe and 17-year old Demi “are involved in an illicit relationship.” In the letter, Joe’s attorney claims that the story is “completely false, offensive and defamatory” and that the blogger made a “malicious attempt to attack and devalue [Joe's] good name and reputation.” Joe’s team is demanding that the post be pulled or a lawsuit may follow.

Nick Jonas has reportedly been working his way through the cast of the West End production of Les Miserables. The singer has already been on dates with costars Lucie Jones and Samantha Barks which has caused some tension between the girls. A source said “Nick is getting a reputation as a heart-breaker. He’s been out on dates with both Samantha and Lucie and they both seem quite smitten. Nick’s just having fun – but he’s causing some tension between the girls. There’s been a lot of jokes backstage because art is imitating life. In the musical Eponine fancies Marius. But he ends up with Cosette.” Is Nick taking after big brother Joe Jonas?
Miley Cyrus belted out one of her songs called ‘Full Circle’ during the Rock in Rio concert in Lisbon, Portugal last Saturday. The 17-year old pop singer introduced the song by saying “It’s about two people. They’re always gonna come back together no matter what anyone says or the bad people that try to keep you apart. Surprise surprise, it’s about a Jonas brother… You didn’t hear that.” Of course, she’s talking about her ex-boyfriend, Jonas Brothers singer Nick Jonas, who she dated in 2007. I wonder how her current boyfriend, Australian actor Liam Hemsworth, feels about Miley singing a song about her ex.
Kevin Jonas raised $250,000 for charity after appearing on a US gameshow.
The boyband star took part in a series of hilarious challenges as he starred in a special edition of Minute To Win It.
As well as shaking ping-pong balls out of a tissue box strapped to his bottom, Kevin had to use a broom to catapult marshmallows from plates into paper cups.
His younger brother, Nick, and wife, Danielle, watched from the audience as he raised money for their family charity, Change For Children.
Kevin, 22, told host Guy Fieri he was a fan of Minute To Win It and wanted to try his hand at the games after becoming frustrated with previous contestants.
“I turn on the TV and see this girl messing up on Don’t Blow The Joker,” he explained.
“I’m getting angry. I’m throwing things in the kitchen. It’s killing me and I’m like, ‘I’ve got to do the show’. I spent three hours playing games that night. I promised my wife that if we do win big money tonight I owe her a date.”
The Jonas Brother apparently sent out a big “hello” for Taylor Swift during a performance recently and congratulated her on all her wonderful accomplishments these past few months. Nick Jonas’ homage was in the form of a performance of the chorus from Taylor Swift’s hit song, “You belong with me”. Ironic that Nick Jonas’ brother, Joe Jonas is on Taylor Swift’s black list, so to speak. Could Nick Jonas actually be trying to make peace between his clan and the country singer… or does he have his own agenda for this little outburst? You have to wonder how Joe Jonas is going to fell about this neat homage his brother made.
American Idol will be back for its ninth season next week! The two-night season premiere will air on Tuesday, January 12th, at 8/7c on FOX and Wednesday, January 13th, in the same time slot. According to Access Hollywood, the premiere week will feature auditions from Atlanta and Boston. Ellen DeGeneres, the show’s newest judge, won’t be on the panel until February. Instead, guest judges will be sitting in during the initial audition rounds. Celebrity judges include Victoria Beckham, Mary J. Blige, Kristin Chenoweth, Neil Patrick Harris, Joe Jonas and Katy Perry among others. I can’t wait fr the season to start!
The Jonas Brothers ended up cancelling their concert in Zurich last Saturday night because Nick Jonas got sick with an upper respiratory infection. The official announcement said “We are sad to announce the cancellation of the Jonas Brothers concert for this evening in Zurich. Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers is ill with an upper respiratory infection of the nose and throat and the doctor has advised that he not speak or sing… The band, the management, and the promoter apologize that the show must be cancelled on such short notice… Tickets can be refunded as of Monday, 9 November until 31 December 2009 at the presale agency.”
Despite Nick Jonas having some solo ambition, the Jonas Brothers have no intention of breaking up. In a letter to their fans, the band of brothers said “We plan to make music together for as long as we can.” Nick also wrote “We’ve said from the beginning of our career as the Jonas Brothers that anything we do outside of the group is a side project because you can’t break up brothers. My brothers are my biggest supporters, and were on the phone with me everyday while I was in the studio asking how it was going, and telling me they couldn’t wait to hear the record.” Joe and Kevin replied to that, saying “We are so proud of our brother Nick. We know that we will be doing music together for the rest of our lives. But we are thrilled for you to hear these songs that were on his heart.” Aww.

Kevin Jonas better make sure that his fiancé is happy because his two younger brothers may both be nursing some broken hearts. As far as I know, Nick Jonas and Miley Cyrus are still a couple. However, if you follow the Hannah Montana star’s Twitter, there might be a reconciliation between her and ex-boyfriend Justin Gaston. Miley recently tweeted about listening to a John Mayer song saying “Listening to ‘Comfortable’ and thinking of you. I miss your voice.” Some time after that, Justin tweeted “Car ride with @benmschofield and @sierrajacobson9 listening to “I loved you, grey sweatpants, no makeup, so perfect” and you know it’s true.”
Kevin Jonas, the eldest of the Jonas Brothers, is now officially off the market. The 21-year old singer recently got engaged to marry his girlfriend of 2 years, Danielle. His parents, Kevin Sr. and Denise Jonas released a statement regarding the news, saying “Our hearts are filled with joy today and we are happy to share with you that our son Kevin has asked Danielle Deleasa for her hand in marriage. Her answer was yes and it is such a blessing that she will be joining our family. Kevin and Danielle have not yet set a date. Family is very dear to us and we hope we have raised Kevin to be a wonderful man and husband. Please join us in our families celebration and in congratulating Kevin and Danielle. Thank you for all of your support.” Congratulations!
The Jonas Brothers know how to keep their fans happy and the fans know how to return the favor. For the second time in less than a year, the trio of singing brothers debuted at #1 last week’s Billboard albums chart with their latest release ‘Lines, Vines and Trying Times’. The guys from New Jersey sold over 247,000 copies of the record this week and they are on point to keep this good thing going for a few weeks more. It looks like their fame isn’t fading after all. Congratulations for scoring another top spot! With a tour going on, they’re sure to stay there.
If you happen to be a Jonas Brothers fan, then I’m sure you’ve heard ‘Much Better’, a song off the trio’s new album ‘Lines, Vines and Trying Times’. You should also be aware that it’s that song that makes a little dig at Joe’s ex-girlfriend, the singer of ‘Teardrops on My Guitar’, Taylor Swift. Everyone’s speculating that the song is about the country cutie but we’re all going to be left at speculation because Joe isn’t confirming anything. Joe talked about it in a recent interview and said “We went through a lot in the past year and a half, all of us. And you’re just going to have to get the record and figure it out for yourself.” He should just own up to it. Taylor did when she released ‘Forever and Always’.
If you’re wondering why the Jonas Brothers are such good little boys, you better ask their mom. Denise Jonas recently opened up about her famous trio of kids in the July issue of ‘Good Housekeeping’. Nick admits “She makes us be careful in the hotel room…[She makes us] put back the towels, straighten the bed.” Considering how hotels have their own cleaning service, she sounds kind of strict. Mama Jonas also talked about her sons’ purity rings saying “They are men. They have desires. They have testosterone. If they make a mistake, I’m not going to hate them. I don’t think they are above or below being seduced. I would be foolish if I thought that. I pray for them.”

The Jonas Brothers are hustling as the band of brothers were spotted in London at the Empire Leicester Square for the UK premiere of their movie ‘Jonas Brothers in 3D’ on Wednesday. Hundreds of tween girls screaming at the top of their lungs came out to show their support for the guys. For their sakes, I hope that their movie will do better overseas than it did in the US. Talk about a major bummer. If they still do poorly overseas, it goes to show that their star is really on a downward spiral now. And I doubt that tweens would want the Jonas Brothers to be washed up before Nick even turns 18.
Lady Gaga’s comments always seem to be as unique as the singer’s style. The ‘Poker Face’ singer recently made another pop culture prophecy by comparing the fandom of iconic rock band The Beatles to the current-day Jonas Brothers mania. Lady Gaga mused “Now we have the Jonas Brothers representing the return of the superfan.” I’m not too sure about that. If memory serves me right, didn’t the Backstreet Boys, Hanson, NSYNC and even the New Kids on the Block bring back the superfan over a decade ago? I guess Lady Gaga wasn’t even aware enough of those fandoms to have made the comparison.
