Gene Simmons Rips into Accuser

Gene Simmons is lashing out at the couple accusing him of being a violent, choke artist – claiming he was the one who was accosted by a “tall, thin, tattooed” aggressor. It’s all due to an incident outside of a movie theater in LA back in December, in which the KISS front man claims that he was walking with his family when Nathaniel Marlowe and Cynthia Manzo “jumped at them and started yelling in their faces”. Days after the incident, the couple filed a lawsuit against Gene, claiming assault, battery, emotional distress and more. However, Gene’s camp says that the accusers are simply opportunistic and riddled with distortions and false accusations.

No drugs for KISS

Even though they may very well have been the start of the whole craze, it seems that the guys from KISS don’t really concede to the phrase “sex, drugs and rock’n’roll”, mainly because of the drugs part. Bassist Gene Simmons said the following about this: “Even the phrase ’sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll’ what a losers phrase that is! Why isn’t it just sex and rock ‘n’ roll? How did drugs become cool? You can’t win a marathon high, you just can’t. Don’t get me started.” Apparently somebody did get him started, but it didn’t last too long. Well, KISS should probably remember that back in their day the fairy powder was a real craze… well, maybe not that, but certainly other magic little potions.

Dissecting the American Idol Upset: Kris Allen’s victory

Everyone has been calling Kris Allen’s victory over Adam Lambert an American Idol upset. What’s so upsetting about it? It’s not like Kris isn’t talented. But when you’ve pretty much orchestrated a finale show that showcased Adam more than Kris, it would be upsetting to you. Kris only got to perform one song with Keith Urban while Adam got to sing a medley with rock icons KISS. Heck, even Danny Gokey got to sing more songs than Kris when Danny sang a medley with Lionel Richie. Add to that, the final performance of the two before the winner was announced was with Queen. Adam’s star was made to shine brighter than Kris’ that night but I guess the producers didn’t expect a rally of fans for Kris.
