Michael Jackson is about to double his net worth by the end of the year with earning close to $200 million dollars in 2009. And there are still a couple of months to go before the end of the year! The rise in the funds for the singer’s trust will be a result of the dozens of merchandise ventures of the last few weeks as well as the upcoming film project that was recently approved. A brand new song will also be released to go along with the film. It is also being said that there are about 60 completed recordings that can find its way to new albums down the road. The King of Pop lives on!

Christina Aguilera is stretching her acting chops as the powerhouse singer has landed herself her first movie role. The 27-year old former Mouseketeer has signed on to star in the upcoming Fosse-style musical ‘Burlesque’. Her character is describe to be an “ambitious small town girl with a big voice who finds love, family and success in a Los Angeles neo-burlesque club.” Whoever is producing or casting or doing whatever on this movie should really consider having Dita Von Teese show Christina the ropes and have her do a cameo at the very least. That would make it a hot movie.

EW has a new movie still of Beyonce from her upcoming movie ‘Obsessed’ which is due out on April 24. The director of the film, Steve Shill, said that he did some research for the film saying “We did look at girl fights on YouTube. There’s a lot of hair pulling, shouting, and rolling around on the ground. We didn’t really want to do that.” The film is about the successful career of asset manager Derek (Idris Elba), his beautiful wife Beth (Beyonce) and their son. They are put in jeopardy when temp worker Lisa (Ali Larter) starts to stalk Derek.

‘Twilight’ actresses Kristen Stewart and Nikki Reed introduced Paramore at the rock band’s ‘Lost Show’ which was held at the Hollywood and Highland Hot Topic in Los Angeles recently. Joining the actresses in rocking out with the band’s vocalist and admitted ‘Twilight’ fan Hayley Williams were fellow cast members Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Jackson Rathbone and Taylor Lautner. What, no Robert Pattinson? Following the live performance, the actors and band members held a little Q&A and autograph session for their fans. I loved Paramore’s song on the soundtrack of the movie. The darker sound fits well with them. I hope they continue to go that way with their next singles.

Marvin Gaye is receiving double film treatment for the near future. Director F. Gary Gray is slated to direct with David Foster and Duncan McGillivray as producers. ‘Blood Diamond’s’ writer C. Gaby Mitchell is signed on to write the script. Unlike the film ‘Sexual Healing’ which will focus on the music icon’s decline post-Motown, Gray’s ‘Marvin’ will cover the entire span of the musician’s life, from his rise to the Prince of Soul, his defiance of the restrictive hit-making Motown system, his fall and comeback, and his tragic 1984 death at the hands of his father. It should be interesting how the two films will stack up against each other.

CAMP ROCK premiered on The Disney Channel. Rock along as she discovers how competitive the campers truly are while working hard to perfect her musical talents. With the help from instructors like Shane Gray (JOE JONAS), who has returned to camp to find himself as well as some new inspiration, Mitchie will confront her fears while learning to step into the spotlight. One of the best parts of the movie is the soundtrack, and you can purchase it on iTunes now.

Craig David wants to record the theme song for the new James Bond film.

The British singer is desperate lend his voice to the opening of the latest 007 adventure ‘Quantum of Solace’, but accepts he will have to get past current favorite Amy Winehouse.

He said in an interview: “I think trying to do a themed song for a film is great, a song that encapsulates what the whole film is about. Bond would be a great one. To be honest I know Amy Winehouse is being hotly-tipped for it, which would be great if she gets to do that, but the Bond films are an institution in themselves and you’d love to, as an artist, get involved with something like that. It would be great to be involved”.

Sir Paul McCartney – whose band Wings created classic Bond theme ‘Live and Let Die’ for the movie of the same name in 1973 – recently tipped Amy for the job.

He said: “I think Amy Winehouse would do a really good job with the Bond theme. My advice to her would be not to try and rhyme ‘Solace’ with anything – that’s too hard.”

Diddy – the rapper, the producer, the entrepreneur and now, the actor. Now that he has a starring role in the upcoming film ‘A Raisin in the Sun’, he would now like to be called by his given name, Sean Combs. He says “The reason why it’s very important to me is ya’ll know me for a lot for different things–music, fashion, television and films. But you don’t really know me as an actor. I’d like to introduce my actor to you. That’s me! Sean Combs! My name is Sean Combs! You know I’ve got a lot of split personalities.”

Madonna is set to make her official debut as a director soon. It has just been announced that the Queen of Pop’s film ‘Filth & Wisdom’ is going to make its world premiere this February at the Berlin Film Festival.The movie is “Described as a comedy/drama/musical/romance, the story features a Russian immigrant, ballet school, lap dancing, cultural revolution, poetry, night club, punk rock band, book writer, dominatrix and gypsy. The Gypsy punk band that appears in the film is portrayed by real-life Gypsy punk band, Gogol Bordello, who also contributed three songs to the film’s soundtrack. The band’s lead singer, Eugene Hütz, portrays the main character — a character with a philosophical attitude towards life. Madonna allowed additional dialogue written by Eugene himself to be included in the film. Additionally, Gogol Bordello performed ‘La Isla Bonita’ with Madonna at the 2007 Live Earth benefit concert in London, United Kingdom.”

All you movie fanatics don’t have to worry though because Madonna wouldn’t be acting. Although I’m not really sure if it’s good news or bad. This time, Madonna is sitting in the director’s chair for a new documentary.

Rosie O’Donnell revealed it in the ‘Ask Ro’ section of her website when asked about what movie she saw with the Queen of Pop when they were spotted together. Rosie described the documentary ‘I Am Because We Are’ as something devastating and amazing. It focuses on the poor, full of suffering lives of Malawi Children. Mainly, it’s about how AIDS has affected the lives of the children.

The documentary also highlights the work of Madonna’s organization Raising Malawi.

R&B star Sean Kingston will play slain rap heavyweight Notorious B.I.G. in an upcoming biopic. The singer, who is dominating the charts with summer hit Beautiful Girls, has landed the lead role in the movie, which is being produced by Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. This is a different issue but would the producers ever ask him to cut his weight and look a bit better as an appearance for the movie as they do for the female leads. Oh, I think they won’t be complaining about his weight since they have already had an audition with him and has been told that he will be playing the role in the movie. Now if it were a plum actress should have been asked sign the dotted line with an agreement clarifying that she should be able to shed such and such pounds or else could be facing an axe. Look at Sean he looks a truck full of garbage to me and my views do not in any way speak about his singing skills. Just his size to huge and would rather be better for a comic role.

To that impressive resume, she can now add Hollywood producer. “El Cantante,” a biopic about salsa legend Hector Lavoe that will be released on August 3, is the first movie from her production company, Nuyorican Productions. It also stars her husband, singer Mark Anthony, with the woman known as “J.Lo” playing his on-screen wife, Puchi. Lopez and Anthony had dated more than 10 years ago and were married in 2004 — his second marriage and her third. But Lopez said that she had decided to cast him as Lavoe shortly after she first got the script for the movie five years ago, before they had started dating again. Well this is nice to see that she wanted to cast him in the movie, this show that she has the right recipe to make her movie a box office damp squib. Like he is not a proven Hollywood actor and if she wants to be successful as a producer she better have the right guys performing. WHAT YOU SAY, AH!

Hairspray director Adam Shankman has hit back at a journalist who is proposing a boycott of the film because its star John Travolta has “no business” playing an iconic gay character. The Saturday Night Fever actor stars as super-sized woman Edna Turnblad in the latest adaptation of the kitsch musical, angering the editor of gay newspaper Washington Blade, Kevin Naff. Naff claims Travolta should never have been cast in the role because his religion Scientology is “homophobic.” He is an actor and is doing what the role requires him to do, so why are the journalists bothered about him playing a gay, if they feel so jealous then they might as well produce their own version of Hairspray and enact the role the way they want to see it. And if it is just coz he believes in Scientology, then please grow up u guys, since when has religion gotta a connection with acting powerness of a person. He is an actor. He is acting a part that just happens to be of a woman. Get over it journalist. Why not do what you do best and bore us with another article on Paris?????? lol, and Lindsay is just out of rehab, you should be working overtime for this s*it news rather.

Mutya Buena has been killing with her solo effort. The former Sugababes member just released a new video for her single ‘Song 4 Mutya’. The song is a collaboration of the buxom British-raised Filipino babe with Groove Armada. The clip is a little on the cheesy side but the quality of the song more than makes up for it.

It just goes to show that you don’t have to do a reunion tour with people you don’t even like anymore to stay famous. Mutya is certainly proving that with all the recent success that her solo efforts have attained.

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake’s mom Lynn Harless were spotted greeting each other on the streets of Stockholm. We all know that Jess is hanging out with JT during his European tour. Apart from getting some TrouserSnake love, she apparently also got some bonding time in with momma.

Things seem to be going from hot and heavy to steady and serious for the new couple. Apart from being openly affectionate in public, Jess seems to have gotten the mom’s seal of approval too. They’ve been seen shopping around Oslo if you want proof of that.

Momma Harless reportedly hated Cameron Diaz. Ouch.

The entire upcoming UK Boy George tour was cancelled. It should have begun on October 2 in Clyde’s Auditorium but fans will not care about this for sure. The official statement was:

“It is with regret that Boy George’s October live dates will be cancelled until further notice. This is due to various other “last minute” commitments which unfortunately now clash with the UK dates. George would like to personally apologize to his fans and hopes to see you again very soon. Thank you for you continued support.”

On the other hand his European DJ tour will go ahead without any changes. August 24 is the first date. Boy George will mix it at Turnmills in London. Ticket holders are expected at the point of their purchase for a complete refund.

Jaime Pressly just gave birth to a son according to People magazine. The “My Name is Earl” actress now has a new leading man, and his name is Dezi James. He arrived on the scene at 7:31 am and weighed 6 pounds 4 ounces. Pressly, 29, told People the couple came up the name “Dezi” as a tribute to Cuban-born “I Love Lucy” star Desi Arnaz. Being Cuban-American herself Jaime wanted to honor one of her people’s comedy greats. I love the idea of naming a child after a great star like Desi Arnaz. I think people forget about the older generation of comedians, and it’s nice that the actors of this modern era can step up and appreciate their forfathers. It’s people like Desi that made comedy what it is today.

Penelope Cruz is dating rocker Lenny Kravitz, it has been reported.
The ‘Volver’ beauty – who has been romantically linked to Orlando Bloom and Josh Hartnett this year – celebrated her 33rd birthday on April 28 with Kravitz at New York’s Beatrice Inn.
She then continued to party at the rocker’s TriBeCa apartment.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: “Penelope is due in Europe to do a fashion shoot for Mango clothing but she keeps postponing it to join Lenny on his tour. They’ve been friends for a long time.”
A representative for Cruz said: “I don’t comment on my client’s personal life.”
Hartnett – who split from long-term love Scarlett Johansson last year – has also seemingly moved on from his brief liaison with Cruz. He has been seen in several New York hot spots with model Helena Christensen.
Cruz is the latest famous beauty to be romanced by Kravitz. The ‘American Woman’ rocker has previously dated Nicole Kidman – the ex-wife of Cruz’s former lover Tom Cruise – Kylie Minogue, Natalie Imbrulia and Vanessa Paradis, who is now the long-term partner of Johnny Depp.

Orlando Bloom is desperate to find his dream girl and start a family.
The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star, who is currently single, wants to settle down and is on the look out for “Miss Right”.
He told Weekend magazine: ”I’d like to live a proper family life – with a partner and kids. That’s what all’s about isn’t it? I’ve had a crazy life, in many ways, and I realize I want someone to share it with.”
Orlando, who recently ended a four-year-on relationship with actress Kate Bosworth has been linked with a string of famous beauties in recent months, including Penelope Cruz, Kirsten Dunst and Sienna Miller.
Although he is actively searching for a new girlfriend, Orlando is sick of being romantically linked to every woman he is seen with.
The 30-year-old actor said: ”I can’t bump into someone without people thinking we’re an item. But I can definitely say there is no one serious in my life right now. It’s a little odd, but that’s the trade-off of fame, I suppose. I’m not going to moan about it though because, let’s face it, I never thought fame, celebrity, whatever you want to call it, would happen to me. And when it does, you can’t knock it. Orlando Bloom is one of the most wanted men in the world, so I think it wouldn’t be so he will have many options but it depends on what is he searching for. Hope he would find his “Miss Right” and we would see him married with a bunch of children.

Tom Sizemore has mostly been known for his crime drama work than anything else.  That was until his most recent arrest for drug possession Tuesday in Bakersfield, California.  Have you ever been to Bakersfield?  The best thing about it is how fast you can get out of town.  They do have a pretty decent McDonalds though.  Maybe that’s where Tom stopped for a Big Mac and a side of meth.  It’s the new McWasted Value Meal.  Guaranteed to mess you up.

The actor had two bags of meth in his car and looked to be using when he was arrested by the Kern County Police Department.  This isn’t the first time he has had issues with meth and the law.  In October 2004 Tom was arrested for the same offense.  Even more interesting is the 2003 domestic violence conviction dealing with his ex-girlfriend Heidi Fleiss.  At least he has flare.
