Woman Found Guilty for Murder of Punk Star’s Manager

The woman responsible for killing the former manager of the Ramones in 2007 has finally been convicted of second degree murder. Natavia Lowery was convicted in a Manhattan court room last week of killing 62-year old Linda Stein, who managed the legendary punk band the Ramones and went on to become a high profile real estate agent, serving clients such as Madonna. The 28-year old Lowery was found guilty of bludgeoning Stein to death with a piece of exercise equipment and stealing $30,000 from her in October 2007. Justice has finally been served for the awful and unnecessary crime. May Linda Stein finally rest in peace.

Vampire Weekend Refuses to Celebrate

Vampire Weekend’s LP ‘Contra’ dominated the US album charts but don’t expect the band to celebrate their success. They actually think that it would be shallow of them to be proud of what they’ve accomplished. When lead singer Ezra Koenig heard that they topped the charts in an email, he actually went right back to sleeping. He said “It’s exciting, but you’re number one for a week and then you’re not. Even with a number one there’s still plenty of people who’ve never heard of you. There’s so much to do. To be number one versus number three or number five, that’s the luck of the draw. Our day-to-day has changed so little. It’s not like now the glitz and glamour surrounds us.” Band mate Rostam Batmanglij added “The meaningful accomplishments are internal. It’s shallow to be proud of how many records you’ve sold.” Why can’t they just be happy?

Beyonce Sells Big

The Recording Industry Association of America recently announced a compilation of its awards for the past decade last week and there was one artist who came out about the rest – Beyonce! The R&B singer reached more gold and platinum sales milestones than any of her competitors with 64 RIAA certifications. Those certifications include that of albums, digital songs, master ring tones and music videos. Beyonce also led the pack with 19 ring tone certifications. That is one mighty amazing career. Congratulations to Beyonce for achieving so much! However, it doesn’t really mean that I love her. I like her but I’m not that much into her anymore.

Ronnie Wood and new girlfriend were like two ’schoolkids’ when shopping in London

Ronnie Wood and his new girlfriend Ana Araujo looked like two ’schoolkids’ as they spent the day shopping in London.

The 62-year-old Rolling Stones star took Araujo, 30, to the posh London store, Bread Boutique, in Sloane Square as they enjoyed the day out in the British capital.

An onlooker said: “They were walking along like a couple of schoolkids holding hands and whispering to each other.

“They went into the cafe and sat at a cosy table for two and had coffee – which Ronnie paid for. They were gazing into each other’s eyes and seemed to be having a lot of fun.”

Araujo was seen carrying an armful of Ralph Lauren items as they went shopping and later returned to her Chelsea home for the night.

30 Seconds to Mars Faced Bomb Threat

Jared Leto and his band 30 Seconds to Mars recently came face to face with an explosive threat due to a man who panicked a crowd with a mysterious box. Fans at a West Hollywood appearance by the band say that the man rushed the door of the building with a package in his hands. He called out Jared by name and then said something about having explosives. A member of the band and security tackled the guy until police came and arrested him. LAPD cleared Melrose Avenue to check the box and the suspect’s car. There was no bomb in the box though, just candy and a blender. The man is in custody and police say that the guy is mentally unstable.

Courtney Love is Stupid

Courtney Love is nothing short of stupid and no matter what she claims, I think it’s natural. The washed up rock singer actually made a genuine effort to dumb herself and her lyrics down as she rewrote one of her new songs ‘Stupid Little Bitch’ in order to make it sound more stupid. She said “I went to the site of the World Trade Centre at 3am and rewrote the song so it wouldn’t be clever-clever. It’s just completely visceral, kind of stupid. And it’s really, really important to keep that stupid part of yourself alive, otherwise you start getting all smart and growing stupid facial hair. Including me. I shave every day.” I don’t even know what she’s talking about anymore.

Green Day Gets Rock Band Treatment

Green Day has been featured in the latest Rock Band video game but fans will have something else to go crazy over by next year. The band will be getting its own video game, ‘Green Day: Rock Band’. Game-maker Harmonix announced the exciting news last weekend. The band’s singer Billie Joe Armstrong said “We’ve worked with the ‘Rock Band’ team in the past year to enable our fans to play tracks from 21st Century Breakdown, and we’re excited to now be working on a game spanning our entire career. We want people to fire this up, choose their favorite Green Day tracks and play along with us as ‘Rock Band’ avatars so they can feel what it’s like to perform on stage as Green Day.”

Garth Brooks is suing a hospital

You would expect this to be something only a low-life scumbag would do… and yet, here is country legend and Las Vegas superstar Garth Brooks filling a lawsuit of a half-million dollars against a hospital in Oklahoma. Why? Well, apparently Garth Brooks gave them boys a substantial amount of money with which to build a new facility in honor of his mother who died of cancer. And it looks like them boys used it on renovating… so Garth Brooks wants his money back! No doubt, so he can donate it to another hospital that will use it in other purposes rather than those intended and so on and so forth: the cycle of life continues!

Fuse dedicated a whole day to music superstar Rihanna this past Monday. The marathon continued on with all of the singer’s music videos and exclusive interview. The Barbadian babe got to talk about making the album ‘Rated R’, how far she goes for music she loves and her evolution as an artist. On ‘Rated R’, she said “I had a very fearless attitude making this album. I didn’t think about making hits – I just made songs that I loved.” On how far she goes for what she believes in, Rihanna said “If I believe in a record enough, then I’ll do anything. I’ll go to the end of the earth for it.” And on her evolution as a musician, she said “From ‘Pon de Replay’ to ‘Russian Roulette’ – it’s not even the same person!”

Kid Cudi’s punch gets appreciated

This rapper should be an example to all of his colleagues: this is how you use celebrity status to your advantage. Apparently, while Kid Cudi was having a concert in Vancouver, one of the participants, Michael Sharpe, kept throwing a wallet on stage because it didn’t belong to him. Kid Cudi interpreted this as an insult and went ahead and punched his own fan, who took it very lightly though. This is what Michael Sharpe said about the incident: “I’m not upset, I’m not going to be that person. I just want to meet him and be like ‘I’m the guy you punched.’ I’m not going to press charges.” That’s how it should be done! Kid Cudi should really give lessons to all of those violent people who pick on the poor paparazzi as to how to handle the situation properly… and extend a big thank you basket to his fan for being a good sport.

Travis Barker Settles Crash Lawsuit

Travis Barker recently settled the lawsuit against defendants Clay Lacy Aviation, Goodyear Tire & Rubber and Global Exec Aviation among others. The lawsuit stemmed from the jet crash that left him with severe injuries and four dead. DJ AM’s estate are also suing for wrongful death as they fell that the accident led to his overdose in August which ultimately resulted in the entertainer’s death. The case is still pending.

Weezer Crash Details

As it was reported, Weezer’s tour bus was in a crash accident due to slipping on an ice patch last week. The band’s lead singer Rivers Cuomo was taken to the hospital after complaining of rib pain. It has recently been revealed that Rivers sustained three cracked ribs. His assistant Sarah also fractured two ribs and a lower vertebrae. No one else was harmed in the accident, including Rivers’ wife and daughter. The rest of the band’s December tour dates have been cancelled while Rivers recuperates from his injury. I wish Rivers and his assistant a speedy recovery. I’m glad that the injuries weren’t much worse.

Jonas Brothers Still Together

Despite Nick Jonas having some solo ambition, the Jonas Brothers have no intention of breaking up. In a letter to their fans, the band of brothers said “We plan to make music together for as long as we can.” Nick also wrote “We’ve said from the beginning of our career as the Jonas Brothers that anything we do outside of the group is a side project because you can’t break up brothers. My brothers are my biggest supporters, and were on the phone with me everyday while I was in the studio asking how it was going, and telling me they couldn’t wait to hear the record.” Joe and Kevin replied to that, saying “We are so proud of our brother Nick. We know that we will be doing music together for the rest of our lives. But we are thrilled for you to hear these songs that were on his heart.” Aww.

Lady Gaga Works with Beyonce

I have some exciting new for all you Lady Gaga fans. Not only is the singer’s new single ‘Bad Romance’ already available on iTunes but a detailed track list for her album ‘The Fame Monster’ has been released. The list goes as ‘Bad Romance’, ‘Alejandro’, ‘Monster’, ‘Speechless’, ‘Dance in the Dark’, ‘Telephone’ featuring Beyonce’, ‘So Happy I Could Die’ and ‘Teeth’. Yes, Beyonce will be on one of the Princess of Pop’s tracks! Lady Gaga was recently filming a video for Beyonce’s ‘Video Phone’. I wonder if they filmed a video for ‘Telephone’ too. By the way, I’m having a slight chuckle at the titles of their songs.
