Head over to Tokio Hotel’s Myspace for an exclusive listen of their album Humanoid. The first single, “Automatic” is a metallic anthem with layered, buzzing guitars, stomping percussion, and a falsetto chorus made to be belted out by a stadium full of people while “World Behind My Wall” redefines the power ballad with depth, introspection, musical confidence and an irresistible sing-along chorus. The band tracked songs in Hamburg, Miami, and L.A. “Bill drove us all crazy, constantly coming in with things, even though the old songs weren’t finished yet,” says Tom, who’s fond of frequently ribbing his brother. “Apart from that, we just didn’t limit ourselves, and we used new instruments.”

Check out the new TV spot for Madonna’s Celebration CD. The Queen of Pop’s Ultimate Hits Collection is due out next week on September 29th and features digitally remastered versions of “34 songs that changed the world” plus 2 brand new tracks. The release will also be available as a single CD as well as a Premium Version which will include the Celebration Video Collection DVD.

This Is It, the aptly named latest single of the late Michael Jackson, will be released on October 12.

The single’s title could be taken to denote Jackson’s reaching the pinnacle of his life and career.

No details are available on the Sony Music Entertainment release apart from a backing accompaniment by Jackson’s brothers.

Sony will follow up on This Is It two weeks later with a two-disc set timed to go with the movie of the same name, which will come from rehearsal footage captured in the last weeks of Jackson’s life. The king of pop was in rehearsals for a gruelling 50-date UK tour that he said was to be both his comeback and his finale.

The CD cover for This Is It featured on websites shows a dazzling multi-coloured Jacko silhouette with arms outstretched.

Alice in Chains have just released a short film which features the band speaking on the tragedy of former singer Layne Staley’s death to the triumphant return of the band with new singer William Duvall. Follow the band as they recount their first performance without Layne in the wake of the Tsunami tragedy, their introduction to William, and the creative processes that led to the birth of the new album: all whilst getting their faces painted KISS style. “CHECK MY BRAIN” VIDEO PREMIERES ON MTV2′S “UNLEASHED” – PLAYING EVERY HOUR ON THE HOUR

BAND ANNOUNCES EUROPEAN TOUR DATES

Hailed by Spin as “one of the catchiest songs of Alice In Chains’ history,” lead single “Check My Brain” has blanketed rock and alternative radio and rocketed straight to No. 1 on Billboard’s Rock Songs Chart and No. 1 on the R&R Rock Chart.

The riff-driven track appears on the band’s highly anticipated new album, Black Gives Way To Blue (Virgin/EMI), available September 29th. Playboy gave the disc four stars, calling it “Alice In Chains’ Back In Black,” Revolver praised the record for its “dense tapestry of heavy guitars and soaring melodies” and Reuters wrote “the heavy guitars, submerged vocals and thunderous rhythm section assures fans that the band has lost none of its menace.”

The “Check My Brain” video premiered yesterday on MTV2’s “Unleashed,” airing every hour on the hour. It also debuted on MTVu, as well as on MTVMusic.com, MTV2.com and MTVu.com. The clip was directed by Alex Courtes, whose credits include U2’s “Vertigo,” Wolfmother’s “Woman” and the White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army.”

The band (guitarist/vocalist Jerry Cantrell, guitarist/vocalist William DuVall, drummer Sean Kinney, bassist Mike Inez) has been previewing songs from the album during their current sold-out buzz tour, which wraps September 30th at the Avalon in Los Angeles. Alice In Chains will celebrate the release of Black Gives Way To Blue with a special two-night performance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on September 29th and 30th. Next up is a headlining tour of Europe, set to kick off November 12th in Glasgow.

According to recent reports, Hollywood Undead’s album, Swan Songs has topped its own best sales numbers in multiple weeks since its debut. Hit single “Undead” as tracks “Everywhere I go,” and “City,” have also drawn a significant amount of attention from radio and fans alike.

The band has been reported as the fastest selling developing rock band, reaching the Top 15 in modern & Top 10 in active rock radio, as well as hottest night record of the year. PROMO COPIES GOING OUT EARLY MARCH

Static-X has just posted the first single off their forthcoming album, Cult of Static on their official MySpace page. “Stingwray” was inspired by Wayne Static’s wife, former adult film star Tera Wray Static, and the Corvette Stingray she drives.

Keeping the integral tones, Static-X encompasses shredding guitars with solos that have brought the band to a level of playing to be reckoned with. The cybernetic stomp of “Hypure” and “You Am I” bludgeon, bruise and break with precise grooves. Elsewhere, the staccato riffs on “Terminal” crush through an unmistakable guitar tone. Guitarist Koichi Fukuda blazes through incendiary solos, while Tony Campos bolts down demonic bass lines and Nick Oshiro pounds out deadly rhythms. Front-man Wayne Static riffs pure violence and screams out his soul. “Over the years my voice has been destroyed from excessive touring… and I love it,” exclaims Static. “The vocals on the new record are raw and brutal.”

A song you may already be familiar with is “Lunatic” as it was included on the Punisher: War Zone movie soundtrack. Although “Lunatic” is relentless and raw, brandishing a ripping groove and an impenetrable barrier of guitars the album cut was re-recorded to feature a solo by legendary Megadeth front-man Dave Mustaine. “I’ve been a huge Megadeth fan for years,” explains Static. “We’ve toured with them twice. Mustaine and I really hit it off on the road. His lead style is one of the most distinctive styles out there. There’s something amazing about it. When you hear him solo, you know it’s him.”

Since their breakthrough debut, Wisconsin Death Trip, Static-X has sold over three million records, and they’ve completed numerous successful world tours including three Ozzfests, The Family Values Tour and Gigantour. Cult of Static is the bastard child of a 10 year journey of metal annihilation, unleashing the beast to all in their path. “I can hardly believe it’s been a decade since the release of our first cd, “Wisconsin Death Trip,” and we’re still going strong thanks to all of our loyal fans,” explains Static. “The title Cult of Static is meant to be a big thank-you to everyone who has supported us through the years. The BPI, the UK record labels’ body, today announced the exciting news that the mighty U2, one of the world’s biggest bands, will perform their brand new single ‘Get On Your Boots’ live at The BRIT Awards 2009 with MasterCard. This highly anticipated annual event takes place on Wednesday 18 February at London’s Earls Court.

This year’s BRIT Awards, the premiere event in the British music calendar, is shaping up to be one of the strongest yet, with U2 confirmed, Pet Shop Boys being honoured with the Outstanding Contribution to Music Award and further intriguing live performances to be announced over the coming weeks. The show will be a spectacular night of great music, featuring and honoring the hottest music talent and thrilling the eleven thousand audience at Earls Court, as well as making it a must tune-in for the millions watching The BRITs live on ITV1.
