Fergie is a Bond Girl

Fergie is a Bond Girl

Fergie isn’t one to hide her gorgeous body and being at the ‘Movies Rock: A Celebration of Music in Film’ event held at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday was not the place to start hiding it. She took to the carpet and the stage is hip-hugging outfits.

Fergie and Jennifer Hudson got to make like Bond girls when they performed rousing renditions of ‘Live and Let Die’ and ‘Goldfinger’ from the James Bond films. Fergie’s also known for her accessories so it’s clear why she went with the Bond theme by having a bejeweled gun decoration on her microphone stand.

Incubus for Sale

Incubus for Sale

The alternative band Incubus is auctioning off a boatload of their stuff on eBay. It’s not because they’re broke. It’s all for the benefit of the Make Yourself Foundation, a charity founded by the band which gives to a host of other charities.

This past year, the band raised over $600,000 to support the foundation via their tours in the US and Europe. They are now looking to add to that number via the eBay auctions. There are over 50 items on sale including lead singer Brandon Boyd’s 2006 Mini Cooper, their custom Xbox, a pool cue and a lot of sneakers.

Spice Girls Back On

Spice Girls

Spice Girls fans in Buenos Aires have something to rejoice for once again. It seems that the email which was sent to fans who signed up for tickets about the concert getting nixed was the work of some mischievous creature. Yeah, you guessed it. The girls’ site was hacked and nasty things happened!A spokesman from the all girl power group says that “This is not the case and this email is 100% unofficial and has nothing to do with the Spice Girls.” The Buenos Aires date is still being finalized, as are dates in Cape Town, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Sydney.

Jonas Brother Blog

Jonas Brother Blog

The Jonas Brothers took to the stage at the 2007 American Music Awards where Joe took a spill right at the top of their performance. Joe put up a blog about it recently and talked about what went on through the whole thing.

He said that after he fell, he saw the smiling faces of the fans and knew that he had to get up and go on with the show. Joe had so much fun performing that he didn’t even notice that he was bleeding until someone backstage pointed it out to him. And it seems that he got cut not only on his hands but on his leg too.

Does he feel no pain or what?

Rihanna at AMAs

Rihanna at AMAs

If you’re still in doubt, the 2007 American Music Awards held on Sunday should be all the proof you need that 2007 is the year of Rihanna. Not only did she rock the red carpet, she also rocked her performance and took some awards home while she’s at it.

Rihanna did a medley of two of her hits ‘Umbrella’ and ‘Hate That I Love You’. She performed a classical rendition of ‘Umbrella’ complete with the whole string section. Then, Ne-Yo came out to perform their duet. Later on in the night, the Barbados hottie picked up Favorite Female soul/R&B Artist beating out Beyonce and Fantasia.

Double Up is Single Up now – R. Kelly Tour

Double Up is Single Up now - R. Kelly

R Kelly did it again. He might deny it, his label might deny it, but we all know it’s true. R Kelly can’t stand a double tour with a person that threatens to become to tour star. He must be the only one to get all the attention, otherwise…he continues touring alone.
It’s not the first time when a double concert tour needs to be ended. Some years ago, R Kelly parted the tour he was taking with Jay Z.
The Double Up tour he is on had as a performer along his side a young rap singer, called Ne-Yo. It seems that the 24 year old was getting too much attention, and Kelley probably got offended.

Slaves To Gravity – The Purple Turtle

Slaves To Gravity - The Purple TurtleSlaves To Gravity - The Purple Turtle

It was a particularly freezing cold November night in Camden and up and coming London rockers Slaves To Gravity were playing the home leg of their current UK tour.
The 4 piece looked fresh faced and enthusiastic to be playing in their home town and as it was still early days in the tour exhaustion obviously was a long way off yet. The band weren’t the only ones ready to play either. The venue was at least half full when STG came on stage and it was easy to see those watching were friends and followers. They were singing every word and dancing to the sexy Rock and Roll this band produce.
Judging by the crowd Slaves To Gravity seemingly appeal to the lovers of the smooth and sexy. The tight trousers, the big hair, the leather and all that comes with it. Their music also oozes with sex appeal, its dirty, skin-tight and clad with pure rock and roll aggression.

Beyonce Invades Korea

beyonce-tour.jpg

Beyonce was snapped giving a warm hug to a hanbok-clad (traditional national costume) girl who brought her bouquets of flowers at Incheon Airport on Thursday in Seoul, South Korea.

The singer is scheduled to play her first set of concerts ever in Korea on the 9th and 10th of November as part of her B’Day World Tour. Before jetting off to Korea, Beyonce also performed at a concert in the Philippines where she played to a sold out crowd at the Fort Bonifacio Open Field in Metro Manila.

I’m guessing that the only reason people are still fawning over her in other places is because she’s from some place other than theirs and their not being saturated with her stuff.

50 Weasels Way Out of Retirement

50 Weasels Way Out of Retirement

Rap star 50 Cent said that if he didn’t beat Kanye West in terms of record sales when their new releases came head to head, he would retire. Well, Kanye beat him and there’s still no retirement announcement from 50.

It seems that 50 found a way around his retirement saying to Gatecrasher that his album “was No. 1 internationally the week it came out. It was the No. 1 European album!” Apart from teaching us how to go back on our word, 50 also teaches us a good geography lesson.

But if you want to get technical, he does have a point. He did beat Kanye to the top spot on the album and singles chart in Europe.

Blake Lewis, America’s Favorite Beat Boxer, Releases Debut Single

Posted by Sam on 6th November 2007 in American Idol, Blake Lewis, Music, New Single, News, Performance, Singers, Songs, TV Show

Blake Lewis

Blake Lewis is the popular runner-up on the sixth season of American Idol. Born in Redmond, Washington, Lewis started singing at age five and competed in statewide talent contests while in high school. He became a beat-boxer at 17, inspired by the then Seattle-based a cappella group M-Pact. I love the single. It was everything I expected. And what’s more he looks cute too, so that all makes for an interesting new superstar in the making. I also like it when there are newer people on the horizon to replace the old sagging music artist that have been around for eternity and never with of retiring from the music scene. It’s kinda always refreshing to see new kids on the block trying to make a name for them in this bloody shit cut-throat mouth wagging all but insulting world.

Keith Urban at 40

Posted by Sam on 4th November 2007 in Award, Celebrities, Country Music, Keith Urban, Music, News, Performance, Photography, TV Show

Keith Urban Australian country music star Keith Urban is on the cover of the upcoming issue of People magazine. In the interview that accompanies the cover, Keith admits that he “wouldn’t be here without [wife Nicole Kidman]. He apparently credits his music and Nicole for getting him through the roughest year of his life.

Keith also just turned 40 this past Friday. Wife Nicole threw a party at their favorite Bondi restaurant, Icebergs. A guest list of 45 family and friends included the likes of Hugh Jackman and his wife and director Bas Luhrmann.

This past Sunday also saw Keith dedicate his ARIA award to Nicole during his acceptance speech.

Kid Rock-Rock N Roll Jesus

Kid Rock-Rock N Roll Jesus

As its title suggests, this balls-to-the-wall album finds Kid Rock latching onto the verities of sex, drugs and rock & roll as a path to redemption — both his and the country’s. He’d never admit it, but hurt over losing Pamela Anderson fuels his appetite for salvation. She’s the target of the hilarious country romp “Half Your Age,” which proclaims Rock’s new girlfriend to be “half your age and twice as hot.”

Rock shows his wistful side, too. “All Summer Long” takes its inspiration from “Night Moves,” by Bob Seger (Kid’s Michigan idol), mashing up the piano lick from “Werewolves of London” with bits of “Sweet Home Alabama” for a story of sexual awakening. It’s stirring stuff. And “Amen” imports a gospel choir to denounce religious hypocrisy, racism and pointless soldiers’ deaths in Iraq. There’s straight country, hard-edged rock, big soul balladry and rhymes declaimed over metal guitar. Throughout, Kid Rock extends the Seger-Mellencamp tradition of heartland rock — its swagger as well as its vulnerability — into a new era.

Kid Rock is the first to admit that he’s “no saint” — his immortal couplet (from “So Hott”), “I don’t want to be your friend/ I want to fuck you like I’m never gonna see you again,” amply makes that point. But his good-hearted faith in rock & roll delivers a powerful kick. As he well knows — and Rock N Roll Jesus proves — roaring guitars, truckloads of attitude and an unquenchable lust for life make up for a multitude of sins.

Adema to Tour!

Adema to Tour!

Adema is one of those awesome bands that you just can’t get enough of, even if you’ve only heard them on the radio and are not completely sure who they are but really can’t get a particular song out of your head. That is the sign of a good song, after all, so you can rest assured that the music Adema puts together is strong and catchy, and just the kind of stuff you are going to want to hear live. Lucky for you, you can do just that now that Adema is going on tour! Just make sure you act fast to get yourself tickets because they are sure to sell out quickly and you know you won’t want to miss out!

The band will also play at The Chamelon in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on November 12, Revolution in Ft. Spice Girls Plan Naked Tour

No wonder ‘Spice Girls’ tickets were so hard to get! Mel Chisholm (aka: Sporty Spice) says that the Spice Moms (or Old Spice as I like to call them) will strip down on stage and go completely nude.

Chisholm says, “We do actually go naked in the show, completely.”

Before you get too excited, I should warn you that even though they’ll be naked, you won’t be seeing much because they’ll be covered with stage props. Who wants to see them naked anyway? Maybe 10 years ago, but certainly not now.

The band is currently rehearsing sexy dance routines and has agreed to sing in the nude – with stage props covering their modesty.

Mel B Blogs

Mel C was the first one to blog on the official blog of the Spice Girls and now it’s Mel B’s turn. In her entry, Scary Spice talks about the busy schedule that she’s keeping, their recent video shoot, Dancing With The Stars and what she’s feeling about getting back together.

She said that it was great to be back together again with her girls and that the video for their new song ‘Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) is going to be fantastic that she can’t wait to see it finished and on TV. She also says that she’s incredibly pleased with the new single and that she can’t wait to perform it.

On DWTS, she says that it was a rush to dance to ‘Spice Up Your Life’ and that she thinks her girls were her lucky charms on the show.

Moby’s Fears For Panic Attack Epidemic

Posted by Sam on 28th October 2007 in Dance, Moby, Music, News, Performance

Moby

Dance star Moby has undergone medical tests to determine what causes him to suffer panic attacks. The Porcelain hitmaker volunteered for the U.S. study, which sought to determine if carbon dioxide causes attacks. A link was found – and now Moby fears the condition will become more widespread, because of rising levels of co2 in the atmosphere. All of you can get an idea of his mind set, look at his picture here and you will be convinced that he surely has some serious problem. Most of it is the head we all behave as per our mindsets and if he thinks has a panic problem he at least knows he has a problem and the cure is nothing but simply not brushing his teeth in the morning and then the obvious alcohol addiction and there you have a bad smelling celebrity that is going to cause an epidemic by interacting with others with bad breath. Co2 has risen just because they don’t brush their teeth and perform in front of 1000’s of people who are exposed to his insanity.

Everybody Hates Avril

Posted by Sam on 26th October 2007 in Avril Lavigne, Concerts Tour, MTV, Music, Performance, Singers

Avril Lavigne

We can now safely say that the hatred for Avril Lavigne is universal. At the eve of her concert in Mexico city, the singer, if you could even call her that, had a rapprochement with her fans at a distance. One disappointed fan said that “We were told no pictures, no shaking hands, no hugging or kissing”.

Despite waiting for nearly 27 hours for Avril just to get an autograph, the singer and her staff were rude to the fans. Several fans complained about the conditions given by the staff but even the press were told the same. The press and TV crews were supposed to cover the whole thing but they got evicted after a minute of taking pictures.
Nearly 700 fans showed up and all of them got disappointed. No one should be surprised though, she acted the same way last Thursday at the MTV Latin Music Awards.
