Prison is a bitch, and if you’re not careful, you can become the prison bitch. The UK media is reporting that rocker Pete Doherty has been moved to a secure cell in jail and is no longer part of the general population. It’s not punishment for doing heroin behind bars though. It seems that Pete’s fellow prisoners want to give him a major beating. Maybe they got pissed that he’s getting special treatment from the guards or maybe they just figured out that his IOU’s for drugs were worthless. Either way, I still hope he turns his life around after this jail stint. I doubt it though. Maybe he does need that beating.

Madonna’s rep Liz Rosenberg recently went on the record to say that the Queen of Pop and her hubby Guy Ritchie are still happily married. Everyone knows not to believe anything until they see proof and Madonna is more than happy to give us that. She and her director husband arrived arm-in-arm at upscale Italian restaurant Harry’s in Mayfair, London on Tuesday. It looks like they’re still spending time together. But again, I need some hard proof first. They could just be doing this for publicity’s sake. There were a lot of momentous events that Guy could have showed up with Madonna but he didn’t yet he chooses to go out to dinner with her on some random night after a lot of rumors came out about the 2 splitting up. Suspicious.

Pete Doherty and his former band mate Carl Barat are getting back together. But sorry Libertines fans, it’s not in the way that you think. The two are actually reuniting to work on a musical. London’s Donmar Warehouse theatre commissioned the musical which is expected to premiere in early 2009. The old music partners are supposed to start work on it come next week at Pete’s home. Barat is said to expect that they’ll be able to write 20 new songs for the musical which will be about the drama surrounding an up and coming band. I wonder if the band in the musical will be torn apart due to severe drug abuse of one of its members.
