Toby Keith for Obama

Posted by Sam on 28th August 2008 in Politics, Toby Keith

Toby Keith is currently promoting his new movie ‘Beer for My Horses’ when he was asked about his position in the upcoming elections. The country artist responded with “There’s a big part of America that really believes that there is a war on terrorism, and that we need to finish up. So I thought it was beautiful the other day when Obama went to Afghanistan and got educated about Afghanistan and Iraq. He came back and said some really nice things. So as far as leadership and patriotism goes, I think it’s really important that those things have to take place. And I think he’s the best Democratic candidate we’ve had since Bill Clinton. And that’s coming from a Democrat.”

TI is Stuck in the Middle

Posted by Sam on 4th August 2008 in Hip Hop, Politics, T.I.

While TI isn’t openly admitting to some of his legal problems, he is admitting that he’s having trouble telling unregistered voters in DC “If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem.” Someone should have thought about things more before pleading guilty to felony weapons charges and officially forfeiting his right to vote. However, the Hip Hop Caucus still selected the rapper as their official spokesperson justifying their decision by saying “.I. can’t vote in this election and to come and encourage others to vote, especially young folks from disenfranchised communities, while he still is in the system, is an act of courage and great leadership. Felon disenfranchisement is a major issue that particularly impacts communities of color.”

Beyonce Cancels Malaysian Gig Due To Clothing Issue

Beyonce Knowles’ upcoming concert in Malaysia has been canceled, reportedly after the R&B superstar refused to tone down her stage show in order to perform. You go Beyonce! I agree with her. You either like an artist for who they are or you don’t. If you got to change yourself to perform for people who claim beforehand those they like the way you are, forget it. Beyonce is so much better than that. She has better things to worry about, like herself and her successful career. There are a 100 other countries to perform too where she doesn’t have to change. Beyonce rocks and thank god she has a brain and doesn’t change for everyone else. It’s a matter of being respectful, she is going to another country, with their rules, just follow and get over it, think of all the disappointed fans (the ones makes this all possible). It’s only clothing, everybody knows what you look like underneath all that clothes anyway.

Who knew that Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama was so into the times and such a ladies’ man? He’s got a girl on his mind and it turns out to be the bootylicious Beyonce.

According to CNN, Barack was asked what his top list of tunes was composed of during a recent campaign stop in Creston, Iowa. Barack is said to be a big fan of old soul and new pop and even likes some of the newer songs that us young ones like.

Barack even went on the record saying “I tell you what. I can tell you the kinds of stuff that I love dancing to… I’m sort of the generation of Stevie Wonder and ‘Earth, Wind and Fire’.” But he also reveals his love for Beyonce when he said “I’m sort of hip to the younger stuff. You know, like Beyonce’s ‘Crazy in Love’. That’s a good song to dance to.”
