While going thru Beirut International Airport, the rapper had to give up his necklace which had a diamond studded bullet. I know that security was just doing their job but I don’t think they could have done anything with that. The irony in it all was that the necklace is actually an anti-war message supporting the Bullets 4 Peace charity. At least the bling is for a good cause but Snoop may need to think about what he wears before going thru any airport again.

Snoop Dogg parted ways with his long time record label Interscope Records this past Monday. On Tuesday, the rapper announced that he’s partnering up with MTV to release his new album ‘Malice in Wonderland’, in conjunction with a variety talk show on the network hosted by Snoop as well as a tie in with MTV’s Rock Band video game platform. MTV released a statement describing the premise of Snoop’s show ‘Dogg After Dark’ saying “‘Dogg After Dark’ will bring his Doggystyle swagger to the airwaves with raw interviews with A-list celebrities and musicians, hilarious sketch-comedy segments and musical performances from the hottest artists. The show will air every Tuesday night for seven weeks and feature Snoop’s own in-house band, the Snoopadelics.”

I knew that there was a gangsta rap but I never knew that there was a gangsta twang. Snoop Dogg showed up to the 2008 Music Awards on Monday night trading in his Crips blue for a full on vampire western gear. It’s highly possible that the rapper was stoned when he chose this outfit. And can someone tell me just what Snoop was doing at a country music awards ceremony? Is he turning in rap for country now? Snoop Dogg pleaded guilty Thursday to one count of felony possession of a dangerous weapon and was sentenced to 160 hours of community service and three years probation, his attorney said. Snoop Dogg, 35, was arrested in September 2006 after the discovery of a collapsible baton in his computer bag at John Wayne Airport in Orange County. I tend to think that are these guys pretending to be musicians and are actually gangsters or just that the American way of living in a stylish and hunk type celebrity world has led them to be carrying guns even when they know that after the 9/11 incident carrying guns and ammunitions could land them in jail for a long period. Any outsider (non American citizen) if he would be caught carrying a gun or weapon then he would have had it for 5-8 years of his life. I think it’s about time the Americans learn that if they want the world to respect its laws then they have to set an example for it themselves.
