These Green Eyes “Sucker Punch”

These Green Eyes “Sucker Punch”-ed their way to a win this week on mtvU’s The Freshmen. The post-hardcore outfit from Connecticut crowns their win with a sweet reward, their video added to rotation on mtvU.

Things are looking up for These Green Eyes, who not long ago lost a friend to suicide and journied through the healing process while writing their second full length Relapse To Recovery which will hit stores March 24th.

World premiere from The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus have just world-premiered their upcoming album, Lonely Road on their MySpace profile. The Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, All-American Rejects) produced album is the follow-up to their platinum selling Don’t You Fake It album which came out in 2006.

The band is also giving away a free download of their new song “Pen and Paper” on their fan site The Alliance.

These Green Eyes Set To Battle

New Haven, Connecticut’s post-hardcore quintet These Green Eyes have recently set their sights on the Ernie Ball/Music Man Battle of the Bands which, if won, would guarantee them a spot on this year’s Taste of Chaos tour. The Battle of the Bands will be fought city by city with These Green Eyes vying for a spot on stage in Rochester, NY, Hartford, CT, and New York, NY.

Fans can check out battleofthebands.com/thesegreeneyes to cast their votes.

These Green Eyes will also continue to chat it up with fans on Stickam.com at 8:30PM EST on Monday January 26th and again on Monday February 2nd and 9th.

The new album from These Green Eyes, Relapse To Recovery, will hit stores March 24th.

A Year End List from These Green Eyes

These Green Eyes, fresh off the Atticus tour, have decided to celebrate the coming Holidays with a cover of The Kinks “Father Christmas.” The track can be heard exclusively on AbsolutePunk.net, but will be made available to the public to download for one day only (Tuesday 12/23) on LiveDaily.com. For a glimpse into the recording of “Father Christmas” check out the video diary here.

The recording of “Father Christmas” only half completed the Holiday and end of the year traditions for lead singer Colin Cunningham. The other half  of the tradition has come in the form of an end of the year list packed with the best albums and best songs of the year along with the album he deemed “biggest disappointment”.
