Rihanna’s comeback

Posted by Sam on 17th April 2009 in Chris Brown, Rihanna, Tickets Sale

The singer has apparently been keeping a low profile ever since that nasty even of hers with former boyfriend Chris Brown, but now Rihanna seems to be coming back to the stage and she’s doing it in Dubai where she will have a concert on May 28th. A spokesman for Dubai tourism had this to say about Rihanna’s upcoming concert: “There will be over 25,000 tickets available. They will be going on sale in the next couple of days.” Also, the spokesman added: “Normally they create a special stage in the desert for these events.” Interesting… what’s going to happen in Rihanna’s case? Are they just going to let her sing in the sand? Or better still, maybe trick her into getting into a pool of quicksand and then enjoying the show?

Jonas Brothers Disappoint at Box Office

Posted by Sam on 6th March 2009 in Jonas Brothers, Tickets Sale

With all the hype and the number of teeny boppers in the planet, who would have guessed that the Jonas Brothers and their 3D film experience will tank? Their concert experience brought in nowhere near the projected $30 to $40 million it was expected to rake it. In the end, the band of brothers only earned Disney an estimated $12.7 million in the US Box Office. Miley Cyrus’ ‘Hannah Montana’ 3D concert earned almost three times as much in it’s opening weekend and it was shown in about half as many theatres. If you want to add insult to injury, the Jonas Brothers also failed to grab the number 1 spot at the Box Office.

Wino’s US Tour

Posted by Sam on 2nd May 2008 in Amy Winehouse, Concerts Tour, Singers, Tickets Sale

amy-winehouse-tour.jpg

Reports have come out that Amy Winehouse is planning to make a trip to the US for a tour this summer. I wonder if immigration officials have any idea of these plans. Ticketmaster posted a concert listing for Wino on Monday saying that there’s a show at the Greek Theater in San Francisco in August. There’s no mistake about it as tickets go on sale on Sunday, May 4th. The ‘Rehab’ singer is supposed to play large venues across the US and is even listed to be playing the massive Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. It’s expected to be a big payday for the singer – if she gets her act together in the next couple of months.

Tokio Hotel’s SOLD OUT Show at the Roxy

tokio-hotel.jpg

“The strip came alive again that night, and Facebook Nation got its Bon Jovi,” wrote Artist Direct on Tokio Hotel’s SOLD OUT show at the Roxy on Los Angeles’ famous Sunset Strip (2/15). It does feel like the Facebook generation has found its Bon Jovi and media outlets are starting to take notice. TMZ.com, famous for dishing on Britney Spears and the rest of Hollywood’s happenings, found time to mention a Jay-Z and Nicole Scherzinger spotting at Tokio Hotel’s Roxy gig.

After rocking New York City last night Gawker.com posted that “It’s Official Tokio Hotel Day” on the site with multiple postings about the German superstars and their on-camera interview with The NY Post.

Spice Girls Back On

Spice Girls

Spice Girls fans in Buenos Aires have something to rejoice for once again. It seems that the email which was sent to fans who signed up for tickets about the concert getting nixed was the work of some mischievous creature. Yeah, you guessed it. The girls’ site was hacked and nasty things happened!A spokesman from the all girl power group says that “This is not the case and this email is 100% unofficial and has nothing to do with the Spice Girls.” The Buenos Aires date is still being finalized, as are dates in Cape Town, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Sydney.

Spice Girls Plan Naked Tour

No wonder ‘Spice Girls’ tickets were so hard to get! Mel Chisholm (aka: Sporty Spice) says that the Spice Moms (or Old Spice as I like to call them) will strip down on stage and go completely nude.

Chisholm says, “We do actually go naked in the show, completely.”

Before you get too excited, I should warn you that even though they’ll be naked, you won’t be seeing much because they’ll be covered with stage props. Who wants to see them naked anyway? Maybe 10 years ago, but certainly not now.

The band is currently rehearsing sexy dance routines and has agreed to sing in the nude – with stage props covering their modesty.

Spice Girls Tickets Sell Out In 38 Seconds

Posted by Sam on 2nd October 2007 in Concerts Tour, Music, Music Bands, News, Photography, Pop Music, Spice Girls, Tickets Sale

spice-girls-photo.jpg
The Spice Girls have added two extra nights to the London leg of their world tour after tickets sold out in 38 seconds. Thirty eight seconds, this is faster than the movie title with Gone in Sixty Seconds, wow that is amazing. Could you guys just believe that all tickets are sold out in a blink of the eyes? These girls have been out and done with for nearly 7-8 years now and they too wouldn’t have expected this kind of response that they are received from their fans. Why the hell did the spice girls come back 4? They look out off DATE….. I can’t believe people still likes them and buy there tickets its all wrong they r old and out off date. But that’s what makes the music industry survive and strive, yesteryears stars are born over and over again, fans just do not forget their favorite singers and bands and never leave the opportunity to see them perform live. Spice Girls would be delighted with the response and this response should egg them on to give their best wherever they go during their world tour.

Justin Timberlake Postpones Tour Dates

justin-timberlake-tour.jpg

Justin Timberlake fans in Sacramento and San Jose will have to wait a bit longer to get “Lovestoned.”Justin’s “FutureSex/LoveShow” concerts scheduled for last night and tomorrow in the California cities have been postponed, due to vocal strain suffered by the “SexyBack” singer.

A rep for Timberlake issued a statement to Access Hollywood assuring fans that the shows will go on…and soon:

“Tour promoter, AEG Live, has rescheduled Justin Timberlake’s concerts in Sacramento and San Jose. The shows were rescheduled following a doctor mandated several day vocal rest prescribed to the artist to repair vocal strain inflicted during his MTV VMA performance and months of rigorous touring.

The FutureSex/LoveShows will go on. The Sacramento concert, originally scheduled for Monday, September 10th, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, September 25th and the San Jose concert, originally scheduled for Wednesday, September 12th, has been moved to Sunday, September 23rd.

Fans should retain their tickets as they will be honored at the rescheduled concerts.”Justin was a major presence at Sunday’s Video Music Awards, winning multiple trophies and performing both at his party suite with Timbaland and 50 Cent, as well in the show’s big closing performance.

He has been on the “FutureSex/LoveShow” tour since January, performing over 50 shows in the U.S. and Canada, along with over 40 dates throughout Europe. He is currently in the midst of the second leg of his U.S. tour before moving on to dates in Australia and New Zealand next month.

Tim McGraw Robbed Onstage

tim.jpg

Man, they must go through hell on stage with the fans. I mean, I love Tim McGraw – especially in tight blue jeans – but I dont’ want to grab his manhood or his jewelry. One of the things I love about him most is his marriage! Hopefully – fans like that won’t tarnish what he and Faith have. Maybe I’m blind too, but I just love them. Deplorable! I suppose they want more than singer and song for what they have to pay for front row tickets. Most of these people come to the concert empty handed and think that by the end of the day while getting back home they have to have some goodies in their pockets. Who else to steal from but that guy on stage, just act like he is your favorite singer and you are his biggest die hard fan, just get onto the stage and mob him and then rob him, for the rest who cares? Lets see if he can get back his prized possession and that ring too.

Elton John’s Charity Event Raises $12.2 Million

Posted by Sam on 3rd July 2007 in Celebrities, Music, Tickets Sale

eltonohn-jt.jpg

Michael Caine, Kirsten Dunst and Judi Dench were among the stars that helped Elton John raise a staggering $12.2 million for charity at the singer’s latest celebrity bash. The Rocket Man star and his partner David Furnish threw their annual White Tie and Tiara Ball at their Berkshire, England, home on Thursday night, with other $6,000-a-ticket guests including supermodel Elle Macpherson, former British royal Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, and artist Tracey Emin. The lavish party was thrown to raise funds for Sir Elton’s Aids Foundation charity, and an auction saw items like a four-day tennis lesson with tennis ace Roger Federer and an Audi R8 sportscar snapped up by celebrity guests for $650,000 and $800,000 respectively. However, the most coveted items on the night were an appliqued blanket by Emin, a trip to South Africa with Sir Elton and Furnish, and a Rolls Royce Phantom coupe – which reportedly has a waiting list till 2009 – all of which went for $1.6 million each. These celebs collect so much money but are it ever enquired that where and how this money is spent. Like do they submit the books of accounts with the government?

Jagger says sorry in Catalan Language

Jagger says sorry in Catalan Language

In a TV broadcast Thursday as the Rolling Stones prepared a new tour of Spain, Jagger told fans, “We are very sorry we canceled our concert last year, but now we are ready.”
The apology lasted a few seconds and was prolonged by laughter and clowning from drummer Charlie Watts and guitarist Keith Richards. Mick Jagger used the Catalan language to apologize to fans for last year’s cancellation of several shows in Barcelona and three other Spanish cities.

The language is indigenous to the semiautonomous Catalonia region in northeastern Spain. Canal 3, the television station that broadcast the apology, described Jagger’s Catalan diction as “better than average.”
The apology preceded a concert Thursday night at Barcelona’s Olympic Stadium as part of the Stones “A Bigger Bang Tour.”

The canceled dates last year were due to Jagger coming down with a case of laryngitis.

Ticket prices for the Barcelona show range from $87 to $249. Organizers said that, as of Wednesday, 8,000 tickets remained unsold.

The Crue Sues

Posted by Sam on 19th June 2007 in Celebrities, Music, Music Bands, Rock, Rumor, Tickets Sale

The Crue SuesRock legends Motley Crue recently filed a $20 million lawsuit against one of their managers, citing ‘greed’, ‘extortionist tactics’ and terrible career advice caused the band to lose millions of dollars in profits and tainted the band’s stellar reputation.

The four founding members of the band (Sixx, Vince Neil, Mick Mars and Tommy Lee) through Motley Crue Inc., are claiming that manager Carl Stubner and Sanctuary Management Group gave bad business advice citing Tommy Lee’s reality show stints which lead to schedule and tour conflicts that ultimately forced the band to cancel dates and lose money as well as tarnish the band’s abilities. The band claims a loss of $8 million in ticket and merchandise sales and that the conflicts in scheduling were concocted by Stubner to ‘leverage his control over Lee to his financial advantage and to Motley Crue and Lee’s detriment’.

A call to the management company was not immediately returned. Guilty conscience maybe?

Boy George Cancelled the Entire Tour

Posted by Sam on 14th June 2007 in Flash News, Live Music, Movies, Tickets Sale

Boy George Cancelled the Entire Tour

The entire upcoming UK Boy George tour was cancelled. It should have begun on October 2 in Clyde’s Auditorium but fans will not care about this for sure. The official statement was:

“It is with regret that Boy George’s October live dates will be cancelled until further notice. This is due to various other “last minute” commitments which unfortunately now clash with the UK dates. George would like to personally apologize to his fans and hopes to see you again very soon. Thank you for you continued support.”

On the other hand his European DJ tour will go ahead without any changes. August 24 is the first date. Boy George will mix it at Turnmills in London. Ticket holders are expected at the point of their purchase for a complete refund.
