Jennifer Lopez is featured on the cover of the February 2010 issue of Elle magazine. The 40-year old singer and actress talked about staying true to herself no matter what. JLo also said that growing older has only made her feel better, saying “I’m a more heightened me, if anything. Everything I wanted before, I want twice as much now. And that doesn’t mean material things. Being an artist doesn’t start because you’re 21, and it doesn’t end because you’re 51. You are who you are until the day you die.” So is she going to remain a mediocre actress and singer all her life?

Fergie and Josh Duhamel Celebrate New Years

Fergie and her hubby Josh Duhamel rang in the new year at LAX nightclub in Las Vegas by hitting the red carpet together and sharing a foot-popping kiss at midnight. The 34-year old singer and actress went on stage just before midnight to count down the seconds left in 2009 with the rest of the Black Eyed Peas. Josh rushed out onto the platform where she was standing and gave her a kiss in front of the entire crowd. I’m all for public displays of affection but I thought that was a little too much, especially with rumors of his extra-marital affairs still being on a lot of people’s minds.

Two months ago, actress Lauren London gave birth to rapper Lil Wayne’s third child, Lennox Samuel Ari. Now, R&B singer Nivea joins the ranks of being one of his baby mamas. Nivea gave birth to their son last week. The father missed the birth though as he was in Atlanta for a prior engagement. Can you say deadbeat? Nivea has 3 other kids from her previous relationship with The Dream, who recently married singer Christina Milian, who also happens to be pregnant. As for Lil Wayne, his new son with Nivea is his fourth child and all of his kids have different mothers.

After attempting to write and produce a mockumentary about their relationship and release some sexy home videos of his ex-wife, Ojani Noa just got slapped with a lawsuit from Jennifer Lopez. The singer/actress has filed a multi-million dollar suit against her ex and another defendant, Ed Myer, for marketing the proposed feature. Should a mockumentary and the home videos get released, it is in clear violation of the settlement agreement that contained non-disparagement and non-disclosure clauses. Plus, it’s very tacky and such a douche bag move. JLo is suing both guys for no less than $10 million. I’m pretty sure that she’s going to win this one.

That’s why we can’t be surprised when Madonna gave details on daughter Lourdes Leon and her very ambitious entertainment career aspirations. In a recent interview, the singer talked about Lola’s cameo in her ‘Celebration’ video, following her footsteps and accepting Lola’s decision regarding her career path. Madonna said “I’m fine with it, as long as she finishes school, and takes it seriously. She also plays piano, and she’s really into clothes and fashion and style. She can go in any direction. She’s got a lot of diverse interests right now. We’ll see. I’m not pushing anything. We’ll see what she wants to do.” Madonna also said that she thinks Lola wants to be more of an actress rather than a singer.

Zooey Deschanel is set to get married to Death Cab for Cutie singer Ben Gibbard at the end of this month. According to a source at LA’s Bar Method ballet studio, the actress has been religiously taking classes to prepare for her big day. A source says that Zooey is currently in Belfast with James Franco and Natalie Portman filming for their movie called ‘Your Highness’ but that she will be returning later this month for her ceremony in Seattle. Congratulations to the happy couple! I wonder if the rest of Ben’s band will be doing a song for them.

Ashley Tisdale’s Music is Influenced by Her Hair

Ashley Tisdale recently talked to Us Weekly about her new album ‘Edgy’. The actress and singer talked about how she found her new sound for her latest CD, saying “My music was more inspired by my hair color! After 5 years of blonde, I went back to my original color. It made my music edgier.” That’s probably the most shallow reason I’ve ever heard. And what is with singer’s changing hair colors for the new albums anyway? Ashley, Katherine McPhee – who’s next? And really, it’s not such a positive message that you’re changing your image to present something else that may not really be who you are.

Jennifer Hudson Honors Michael Jackson

Despite being pregnant, Grammy and Oscar-winning singer and actress Jennifer Hudson attended and gave a wonderful performance of ‘Will You Be There (Hold Me)’ at the Michael Jackson public memorial service which was held at the Staples Center this past Tuesday in Los Angeles. The song was released as one of the late King of Pop’s singles in 1993. The song also appeared on the soundtrack to the movie ‘Free Willy’. Michael’s music proves to be timeless and I can only hope that his music will live on and forever be remembered. I actually feel sorry for future generations for not getting the chance to see the master do his thing. Rest in peace.

The failed country singer and actress will host the documentary series ‘The Price of Beauty’ which will follow the singer as she treks around the world in search of what people find beautiful and why. In a statement, Jessica said “I have always believed that beauty comes from within and confidence will always make a woman beautiful, but I know how much pressure some women put on themselves to look perfect. I am really looking forward to discovering how beauty is perceived in different cultures and participating in some of the crazy things people do to feel beautiful. I know we will all learn a lot on this journey and I am so excited that VH1 is coming along on what I’m sure will be a wild ride.” Will you watch her desperate attempt at a career?
