Police ‘twisted’ Dr Conrad Murray’s account of Michael Jackson’s death

Posted by Sam on 25th August 2009 in Drugs, Michael Jackson

Lawyers for Michael Jackson’s under-fire personal physician say police have twisted his account of the superstar’s final hours.

Attorney Edward Chernoff called much of the contents of the search warrant affidavit “police theory”. Los Angeles Police had filed the documents to search Dr Conrad Murray’s clinic in Houston, Texas, last month.

A statement released by Chernoff said: “Much of what was in the search warrant affidavit is factual.

“However, unfortunately, much is police theory. Dr Murray simply never told investigators that he found Michael Jackson at 11am not breathing. He also never said that he waited a mere 10 minutes before leaving to make several phone calls. In fact, Dr Murray never said that he left Michael Jackson’s room to make phone calls at all.”

The Los Angeles Coroner’s office has ruled Jackson’s death a homicide caused by a mix of drugs meant to treat insomnia, according to reports.

Propofol stash found in doctor’s closet

Posted by Sam on 18th August 2009 in Drugs, Michael Jackson

Conrad Murray, live-in physician to Michael Jackson, kept a stash of the powerful anaesthetic Propofol in a closet in Michael Jackson’s home, a report claims.

The drug is the smoking gun in the case building against Murray, which has been labelled a manslaughter investigation, even though no charges have been laid. Propofol could well be the pivot point in the minds of prosecutors.

Law enforcement sources said three large bottles and five vials of the anaesthetic were discovered at the Jackson house.

The drugs were found in the closet attached to Murray’s bedroom. Murray is said to have administered the drug in the bedroom where Jackson was later discovered to have arrested.

He may also have kept the drug elsewhere and had a steady stream of Fedex deliveries of it, the report claims.

Michael Jackson’s parents hire private eyes – report

Posted by Sam on 5th August 2009 in Concerts Tour, Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson’s parents have hired private investigators to probe the death of the pop king.

Despite a multi-agency probe mounted by US authorities, the Jacksons are clearly seeking answers of their own.

Katherine, 79, and Joe, 80, are considering wrongful death lawsuits, according to an exclusive report.

But the focus of the Jacksons’ concern appears more and more to be AEG, the tour promoter for Jackson’s last 50 concerts set to play out in the UK.

Joe maintains Jackson wanted to do ten shows only, not 50. As court hearings into Jackson’s estate unfold, Katherine’s lawyers are poring over the AEG paperwork.

They have refused to sign an agreement barring use of the contract in legal proceedings. Jackson’s personal physician, Conrad Murray, under suspicion in the manslaughter probe, was employed by AEG on £90,000 a month.

A source said: “Joe has been obsessed with AEG’s role from the start and wanted to see the contract. Joe didn’t trust them and told Michael. He is adamant he only agreed or wanted to do ten shows and was pressured into doing more.”
