Before his sudden and tragic death, DJ AM worked on a drug intervention show with MTV called ‘Gone Too Far’. The production team was able to capture enough footage for the making of 8 episodes and the network still intends to air them. At the moment, the production heads are in talks with the late entertainer’s family about how and when to show the episodes. It is being said that since the show follows DJ AM in the role of a “sober and experienced tough-love guide for troubled addicts” and the strong implications that his own death resulted from drug abuse that the show would come off as hypocritical.

Blink 182 has cancelled a couple more shows with their touring partners Weezer and Taking Back Sunday as the band continues to mourn the loss of their friend, DJ AM. A representative for Weezer revealed that the concert in Cleveland last week was cancelled while, for Thursday’s St. Louis show, Taking Back Sunday guitarist Eddie Reyes went on Twitter to say that he was in his home state and that he wouldn’t be getting back to the tour until the weekend. I know how important it is to have a time to grieve but Blink 182 also needs to take care of their fans. I hope they already have plans for a refund or to reschedule the shows.

As the New York City Medical Examiner’s office struggles to find the cause of death for DJ AM, authorities have figured out the inner workings of his last hours. At 1AM on the day that he was discovered in his NYC apartment, Adam Goldstein sent a text message to two of his friends about his Las Vegas gig later than day at Rain Nightclub at the Palms. 16 hours later, his friends called 911 because the DJ couldn’t be reached before his scheduled flight as he was not answering his cell phone. According to a police source, the NYPD broke down his door to find him lifeless. The initial autopsy report was proven to be inconclusive and a toxicology report will be expected in the following weeks. They suspect that drugs may be involved due to the various paraphernalia found in the DJ’s apartment.
