Michael Jackson Estate Goes to the Kids

Posted by Sam on 14th October 2009 in Michael Jackson

It was originally reported that Katherine Jackson will receive 40 percent of son Michael Jackson’s estate with 40 percent going to the late singer’s children and 20 percent going to charity. However, it is ultimately up to the trustees to decide the amount of money to go to the beneficiaries. Regardless of not receiving her whole share from the get go, Katherine has plenty of cash as she’s getting a large allowance at the moment and once the trust is active, she will receive more. Whatever remains in her trust at the time of her death will automatically go to the King of Pop’s kids.

Michael Jackson estate pays his mother $86,000 a month for expenses

Michael Jackson’s mother is being paid more than $86,000 a month by the late singer’s estate.

The money covers her living expenses and the expenses of the King of Pop’s three children, legal papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court today reveal.

Katherine Jackson will receive $26,804 a month for her expenses.

In addition she will control an extra $60,000 a month for food, clothing, education and entertainment for the children – sons Michael Jr, 12, and Prince Michael, seven; and daughter Paris, 11.

The estate began paying the allowances last month, retroactive to the singer’s June 25 death. According to a budget for Katherine Jackson, the family matriarch’s monthly expenses include salaries for a housekeeper ($2,080), driver ($2,000), as well as $3,500 for clothing and $1,000 for grooming.

According to the papers, Jackson’s estate is estimated to be worth more than $500million.

Jackson’s father and siblings are not mentioned in the court papers.

The administrators’ lawyers said “no individuals other than the minor children and Mrs Jackson are entitled to a family allowance in this estate”.

  • Michael Jackson’s parents hire private eyes – report

Posted by Sam on 5th August 2009 in Concerts Tour, Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson’s parents have hired private investigators to probe the death of the pop king.

Despite a multi-agency probe mounted by US authorities, the Jacksons are clearly seeking answers of their own.

Katherine, 79, and Joe, 80, are considering wrongful death lawsuits, according to an exclusive report.

But the focus of the Jacksons’ concern appears more and more to be AEG, the tour promoter for Jackson’s last 50 concerts set to play out in the UK.

Joe maintains Jackson wanted to do ten shows only, not 50. As court hearings into Jackson’s estate unfold, Katherine’s lawyers are poring over the AEG paperwork.

They have refused to sign an agreement barring use of the contract in legal proceedings. Jackson’s personal physician, Conrad Murray, under suspicion in the manslaughter probe, was employed by AEG on £90,000 a month.

A source said: “Joe has been obsessed with AEG’s role from the start and wanted to see the contract. Joe didn’t trust them and told Michael. He is adamant he only agreed or wanted to do ten shows and was pressured into doing more.”

Neverland too tainted for Michael Jackson’s final resting place, says his mother

Posted by Sam on 9th July 2009 in Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson’s mother feels Neverland Ranch is too tainted to become a burial site for her son.

Katherine Jackson is said to have had heated discussions with Michael’s brother, Jermaine, who wants the singer to be buried at the ranch where he lived from 1988 to 2003. Charges of child molestation made against the singer and police raids are believed to have caused him to leave.

Katherine believes that Michael would not wish to be laid to rest there for the same reasons that he did not want to live there.

A source close to Katherine said: “Michael left Neverland for good, never to return. He felt violated by law enforcement after his molestation trial. He felt this place he had built had been tainted.”

Jermaine said: “This is his home, he created this. Why wouldn’t he be here? I feel his presence. And I love that. I want my mother to come back here and feel what I feel. He built this place with love and you can see it and feel it.”

    Debbie Rowe Wants Custody

Posted by Sam on 8th July 2009 in Michael Jackson

Despite earlier reports, Debbie Rowe, the self-proclaimed biological mother of Michael Jackson’s two eldest children, is asking for their custody following the singer’s sudden passing. The late King of Pop’s mother, Katherine Jackson, has been granted temporary custody of Prince, Paris and ‘Blanket’. Michael’s will also named his mother as the ultimate custodian. Debbie says that she is willing to submit to DNA and psychological tests in order to gain custody of the kids. She also says that she is concerned with splitting the 3 up and is willing to take on the youngest, whose surrogate mother was never identified. I’m sure she’s very concerned, especially when inheritance comes into play.
