Former Oasis star Liam Gallagher said he is planning to set up his own band.

The 37-year-old was a member of the Britpop band until band member and brother Noel, 42, walked out.

Talking about his future plans, he said: “I don’t want to do anything solo. I want to be in a band. But we can do things a lot differently these days. It’ll definitely be rock ‘n roll.

“I’m always going to miss Oasis. It was MY thing. It’s who I am. But it’s only a name. I’m still who I am and I can go and do something else. It might be **** but you don’t know until you try.

Liam’s fall-out with brother Noel is still going on and he said: “I gave Noel some of my Pretty Green clothes out of courtesy.

“And he took it, which ****** me off ‘cos he should have threw it back in my face ‘cos we weren’t talking. But he took it and he probably put it in the bin.

“Or he probably wears it round his house when his missus is out. Soon as she comes back in, he probably takes it off because he’s not allowed as he’s under the thumb.”

Noel Gallagher Goes Solo

Posted by Sam on 26th October 2009 in Oasis

After a big fight with his brother Liam Gallagher, former Oasis member Noel Gallagher is going to embark on a solo project. The musician said “I’m looking forward to doing my own thing, bringing out my own music. I’m glad that’s what people want to hear. I am not thinking about much else, Oasis or Liam, I’m just having a good time.” Noel left Oasis back in August after his brother made some inappropriate comments about the paternity of his daughter, Anais. I wish him the best of luck, though I doubt that he’ll be able to replicate the success of Oasis.

Glastonbury bosses hope to get David Bowie, Oasis and The Who for next year’s festival

Glastonbury bosses are reportedly lining up acts such as David Bowie, Noel and Liam Gallagher from Oasis, and The Who for next year’s UK festival.

It is claimed organisers Michael and Emily Eavis want the festival’s 40th anniversary next year to be the best yet with performing acts from the last four decades.

A source said: “Michael and Emily want to make next year’s festival the most memorable ever. They’ve got a number of ideas up their sleeves, but one they are already working on is getting past performers to play at the next bash.

“They’ve sent out feelers and have got a lot of positive feedback so far. And if they manage to pull their plan off, then, without a shadow of a doubt, they will have one of the greatest musical bills ever put together in history.”

The Enemy wants Oasis support

Posted by Sam on 18th May 2009 in Concerts Tour, Oasis, The Enemy, Uncategorized

The band that is currently opening for Oasis’ tour this Summer in the UK wants the headlining of the concerts to be the other way around. The Enemy’s front man, Tom Clarke, expressed the band’s point of view: “I don’t think Noel needs to do it any more. He’s doing it for the love of it. That’s the dream. That’s when you can say you’ve made it.” And of course, when the bigger band’s guitarist is doing it all just because he loves it, then it means The Enemy should be headlining. Interesting theory on Tom Clarke’s behalf… I can’t wait to hear what Oasis has to say about it, especially considering Liam Gallagher’s extraordinarily patient and understanding nature.

Oasis brothers’ extravagant concert preferences

Noel and Liam Gallagher are apparently quite the divas when it comes to the dressing room stocks of their concerts. A source recently spilled the beans on what the two Oasis brothers have in their dressing room: “Liam and Noel have requested that their dressing room be supplied with herbal teas, fresh organic fruit, almonds, pine nuts, Cadbury’s chocolate and organic crisps. They also ask for fine china crockery and a linen tablecloth.” Quite the impressive requests for Noel and Liam Gallagher… I wonder how they came to require such extravagant luxuries before the shows. They weren’t probably having the same comforts before playing in The Feisty Goat in Manchester when they were starting out.

China Says No to Oasis

Oasis has been forced to drop two shows in China which were scheduled for April as the country has decided to put a ban on the band from performing in the country. After learning that Oasis member Noel Gallagher appeared at a ‘Free Tibet’ benefit concert in the United States over 10 years ago, the Chinese government deemed that the band is “unsuitable to perform to their fans in the Chinese Republic.” In response, Oasis has issued a statement saying “Oasis are extremely disappointed that they are now being prevented from undertaking their planned tour of mainland China and hope that the powers that be within China will reconsider their decision and allow the band to perform.”

Liam on Oasis Attacker

Posted by Sam on 20th October 2008 in Oasis

Liam Gallagher is still going on about how his brother was attacked by getting tackled to the ground by a concertgoer during one of their shows. He said “It’s not nice when you look down and see your brother on the deck. If it was up to me, I’d have cut his [the attacker's] dick off and made him eat it.” It further confirms my theory that the attacker was very lucky to have been apprehended by security and sent to jail rather than have to face the wrath of the brothers Gallagher. I think that if this had happened on the street, we wouldn’t be able to find the guy’s body for a very long time.

Oasis Postponed

The guy who attacked Noel Gallagher may have gotten off easy but he should watch out for Oasis and their Ontario, Canada fans. The band was supposed to play at the John Labatt Centre in London, Ontario on Tuesday night but due to injuries Noel got in last weekend’s attack, the show was postponed. The venue’s website put up a notice about it details what happened during the attack saying “Noel fell heavily on to his monitor speakers when he was pushed suddenly from behind by his attacker and suffered bruising to his ribs and hip. He was examined in a local hospital after the band’s performance and has been advised to rest. Unfortunately, despite resting up yesterday, the extent of his injuries mean he will not be able to perform tonight. The band are very keen to complete their Canadian tour and options for rescheduling the final London, Ontario show are currently being looked into. Ticket holders are asked to retain their tickets until a further announcement is made in a few days.”
