Eric Clapton apparently did this while the two were being treated in the same facility, as bassist Nicky Wire related: “Richey was in The Priory and Eric Clapton was there and he offered to come round and jam, that was one of those moments where you couldn’t write anything funnier, in a tragic situation.” Yep, no more funny from the tragic situaiton. But hey, Manic Street Preachers can always go for something a little more… sad, eh? After all, it’s not always sunshine and butteflies… especially when the dope stops coming.
