John Mayer has been flirting with Ke$ha over Twitter recently. This past weekend, the soft rock singer asked his fans to stop denying their own love for her and own up to the fact that they like her music. John then sent a personal message to the trashy pop star saying “Dear Ke$ha, you have won me over with your tricks and charms and I must tell you I really like your song. Though I must add I tried brushing with a bottle of Jack and I chipped a tooth on the glass. Where might I remit an invoice?” Ke$ha responded with a lyric to one of her new songs because she just can’t handle any more mental thoughts, saying “Dear John Mayer. Don’t be a little bitch wit ur chit chat. Jus $how me where ur dick’s at . x”

Miley Cyrus is not taking her boyfriend to the Oscars

The singer and actress is apparently skipping appearing at the Oscars with her boyfriend, especially since he’s not one to really participate at such events anyway. This is what Miley Cyrus said on the matter: “Liam’s a pretty low-key guy anyway, he doesn’t mind not going. We’ve decided that any type of relationship that we have, we will always just keep it very down low. First and foremost, we are best friends, so that’s what I tell people all the time.” Miley Cyrus is probably pretty sure she won’t be winning anything this year, otherwise there’s not way she wouldn’t have brought Liam Hemsworth along… either that or he’s just her pretend boyfriend… for now!

The Artist Known as Bob Dylan

Bob Dylan’s first ever art show will be opening this Saturday at the Halycon Gallery in London. The paintings on canvas were based on drawings and sketches that the legendary singer made while on the road between 1989 and 1992. The rock star talked about his art and said “I just draw what’s interesting to me, and then I paint it.” The gallery, which includes landscapes and personal scenes, will run through April 10. Based on the little bit that was seen in news previews, Bob isn’t a shabby artist. I wouldn’t say that he’s amazing though. Oh well, I don’t really understand much of art anyway.

Courtney Love is Stupid

Courtney Love is nothing short of stupid and no matter what she claims, I think it’s natural. The washed up rock singer actually made a genuine effort to dumb herself and her lyrics down as she rewrote one of her new songs ‘Stupid Little Bitch’ in order to make it sound more stupid. She said “I went to the site of the World Trade Centre at 3am and rewrote the song so it wouldn’t be clever-clever. It’s just completely visceral, kind of stupid. And it’s really, really important to keep that stupid part of yourself alive, otherwise you start getting all smart and growing stupid facial hair. Including me. I shave every day.” I don’t even know what she’s talking about anymore.

Ben Barnes on Killing Bono

Ben Barnes just landed another lead role in the movie ‘Killing Bono’. The music-based comedy, which started filming in Ireland this past weekend, is about two brothers who are attempting to become rock stars but can only look on as some of their friends, namely U2, become the biggest band in the world. That sounds pretty interesting. I wonder if members of the actual band will have cameos or if they will have some music on the movie’s soundtrack. And I wonder if Ben will be singing too. ‘Killing Bono’, which co-stars Krysten Ritter, is set to be released this Summer 2010.

Nick Jonas sends regards to Taylor Swift

The Jonas Brother apparently sent out a big “hello” for Taylor Swift during a performance recently and congratulated her on all her wonderful accomplishments these past few months. Nick Jonas’ homage was in the form of a performance of the chorus from Taylor Swift’s hit song, “You belong with me”. Ironic that Nick Jonas’ brother, Joe Jonas is on Taylor Swift’s black list, so to speak. Could Nick Jonas actually be trying to make peace between his clan and the country singer… or does he have his own agenda for this little outburst? You have to wonder how Joe Jonas is going to fell about this neat homage his brother made.

The lawyers want a piece of Michael Jackson too

The pursuit continues… although it’s surprising these people don’t run out of road. It seems that there is someone else in line ready to take their grab from Michael Jackson’s estate. This time, it’s the lawyers who are currently handling all of the estate’s affairs. Ironically, Michael Jackson’s lawyers are filling their own lawsuit against his estate because they haven’t gotten paid yet for their services. Now in all fairness, they’re probably the ones who deserve the money before anybody else but at this point it’s a win-win situation: the money has to stay there before they can get it. Looks like somebody really played their cards well.

Garth Brooks is suing a hospital

You would expect this to be something only a low-life scumbag would do… and yet, here is country legend and Las Vegas superstar Garth Brooks filling a lawsuit of a half-million dollars against a hospital in Oklahoma. Why? Well, apparently Garth Brooks gave them boys a substantial amount of money with which to build a new facility in honor of his mother who died of cancer. And it looks like them boys used it on renovating… so Garth Brooks wants his money back! No doubt, so he can donate it to another hospital that will use it in other purposes rather than those intended and so on and so forth: the cycle of life continues!

Miley Cyrus wants to change her style

It seems the singer is getting pretty bored with being a pop star and she’s decided to try something a little more extreme. Miley Cyrus said the following about changing her style: “I want to do my last pop record, I’m working on a record right now. I kinda want this to be my last record for a little while and be able to take a break and just get all the types of music that I really love…you know my favorite styles. And be able to have something edgier and not have to worry about people saying, “Oh, this isn’t what her fans want to listen to.’ Because in a few years, as I grow up, so will my fans and I won’t have to focus on that as much and I’ll be able to have more of the sound of music that I’m into.” Is Miley Cyrus actually considering the possibility that as her fans grow-up they might actually stop listening to her music at all? But there will always be crazed teenagers that like pop music… and the more time passes, the crazier they seem to get.

Bruce Springsteen Autobiography

Bruce Springsteen is looking to add “author” to his resume. The rock star is reportedly working on his autobiography which is allegedly composed of voluminous journals that the singer has meticulously kept over the years. Although the Boss has yet to sell the rights to them, insiders are saying that his life story has the potential to be the biggest rock music autobiography of all time and get up to $10 million for world rights. Who knew? Bruce is also said to be looking to hire a research assistant to help him compose the rock autobiography. I thought he kept journals, why would he need help getting things straight?

Michael Jackson’s fighting weight

The choreographer of the late pop legend’s final concerts and the man behind the soon to be hit movie “This is It!”, Kenny Ortega, recently told the story of how he was helping Michael Jackson fight weight soon before he died. Kenny Ortega said: “He was thin, but he was at what he liked to call his ‘fighting weight.’ He didn’t like to eat, but we were always watching him and making sure he had plenty of protein drinks and fluids. We were there sliding chicken salads in front of him and making sure he was OK. But he was strong and he was getting stronger.” So, let’s try and clarify this: Michael Jackson was at the ideal weight for fighting or what exactly is Kenny Ortega trying to say here? Oh well, at least they were there with the chicken salads every now and again… that must’ve been a real help.

Madonna taking Mercy to meet her father

It seems that the pop star has decided to take her new adopted daughter back to Malawi to meet her biological father. Moreover, Madonna also wants to give Mercy a chance to bond with her dad. A source said the following about Madonna’s decision: “Madonna wants Mercy to learn all about her culture and the community where she was born. She realises her kids need a sense of home and she’s determined to do all she can to give that to them. She doesn’t want to deny Mercy anything in life – and that includes meeting her dad if that’s possible.” Apparently the man was against the adoption from the get go… is Madonna really doing this as a sort of “in your face” thing or because her guy-toy boyfriend isn’t really a suficient father figure for Mercy at this time?

American Idol champ Kris Allen has released his new single ‘Live like We’re Dying’ off of the singer’s as yet untitled album which is scheduled to come out on November 17. Let me say this – I am quite sure that this is going to be a smash hit! The song is actually a cover from the Irish pop rock band The Script. Just like Kris did with Kanye West’s song ‘Heartless’, he totally sang the cover song as if it was it was written for him to sing. Honestly, he’s the only one I know who can make a cover sound totally original.

Kings of Leon Keep Busy

Rock stars King of Leon caught a departing flight to England via LAX last week. The Followill boys, Caleb, Jared, Matthew and Nathan, played at UK’s Reading Festival last Friday and at UK’s Leeds Festival on Sunday. The band has a busy year ahead of them as they will also be releasing a remix album and a live DVD, which was filmed in England where they first broke. Lead singer Caleb will also be making a fall appearance as a guest judge on the Food Network series ‘Iron Chef’. And Nathan will be walking down the aisle this November when he marries musician Jessie Baylin.

Green Day Singer Talks Drugs

Green Day lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong recently had an interview with Maxim. In that interview, the rock star talked about what drug he will never do again. The band’s front man said “Acid. I don’t regret doing it, but. I sure as fuck wouldn’t do it now. I’m way too neurotic. I’d be, like, sitting in the corner sucking my thumb for nine hours.” Honestly, I can imagine him behaving like that. I don’t know. There’s just something about the way that he looks that screams that sort of behavior. I’m not talking about the drug use here, alright? It’s just the thumb sucking thing.
