Billboard Makes Changes

Posted by Sam on 17th November 2009 in Billboard, Lady GaGa, Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Songs Download, Taylor Swift

After only including releases from the previous 18 months to calculate the best selling albums on the Billboard chart, Billboard will now be incorporating catalog releases due to the massive sales of both Michael Jackson and The Beatles. The sales chart on November 25 will be the first tally of the comprehensive chart. In digital music news, 4 artists have already broken Rihanna’s track sales record of 9.9 million digital songs in 2008, including the late King of Pop, Lady Gaga, the Black Eyed Peas and Taylor Swift. The biggest news is probably that the country singer is the only artist that outsold Michael’s album this year in sales. Congratulations!

Taylor Swift Covers InStyle

Posted by Sam on 14th November 2009 in Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift is featured on the cover of the December 2009 issue of InStyle magazine which will hit stands on November 20th. WWD reports that something special is up with that particular cover of the country singer. They say “Readers who hold up the cover to their Web camera will see Swift spring to life surrounded by snowflakes in a 45-second video that ends when she signs her autograph across the screen. ‘We’re using this in an interesting way; it will bring the issue to life,’ noted managing editor Ariel Foxman.” That sounds like such a sweet treat for everyone indeed.

Taylor Swift is excited about Saturday Night Live

Posted by Sam on 3rd November 2009 in Kanye West, Taylor Swift

The singer recently came up and admitted that she is terribly excited about hosting the famous Saturday Night Live show. Taylor Swift wrote the following on her twitter: : “Starting the SNL process I kinda feel like I might have a heart attack or pass out in the pitch meeting. I’m that excited.” Taylor Swift probably has nothing to worry about… if she does pass out, Taylor Lautner will most likely be there to catch her. Or, to make matters more amusing, Kanye West will play the part of the human trampoline, after all, it is supposed to be a comedy show.

New Taylor Swift Video

Posted by Sam on 13th October 2009 in Country Music, Music Artist, Music Video, Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift recently debuted a brand new music video for her song ‘Fifteen’. The song is the fourth single from her 2008 album ‘Fearless’. The video features her real life best friend Abigail Anderson. The cutie pie country singer talked about the song and the video saying “‘Fifteen’ talks about how my best friend, Abigail, got her heart broken when we were in ninth grade and singing about that absolutely gets me every time.” It’s a great song and a cute video. I can’t expect anything less from Taylor. She’s just great. I honestly can’t find something that I don’t like about her.

Kanye West Apologizes for a Third Time

Posted by Sam on 18th September 2009 in Kanye West, Lady GaGa, Taylor Swift

After acting like a disrespectful douche bag towards Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, Kanye West took to his blog twice to apologize to the country singer. The rapper then continued his tour of contrition during his appearance on Jay Leno’s new talk show on NBC last Monday. Kanye apologized once again and said that he needed to take some time off. I think he needs to check himself into rehab if he was chugging down a bottle of Hennessy like what he did at the ceremony. Hopefully, the time off that he was talking about wouldn’t affect his upcoming co-headlining tour with Lady Gaga.

Celebrities Talk Kanye West

Posted by Sam on 17th September 2009 in Kanye West, MTV, Taylor Swift

The entire industry has rallied around Taylor Swift after the whole incident at Sunday night’s MTV VMAs as celebrities have taken to their respective Twitter accounts to show their outrage at Kanye West. Pink said “Kanye west is the biggest piece of shit on earth. Quote me.” Adam Lambert said “Kanye needs to chill. He freaks out every year. It ain’t that deep man.” Joel Madden said “WOW Taylor Swift’s first VMA and she didn’t even get to ENJOY it. Kanye You were just a bully on that one man.” Kellie Pickler said “Tator Tot, you handled yourself with Grace. Kanye, go grow some f-ing balls bitch! don’t mess w/my lil sis!!” Mind you, those are some of the nicer ones.

Kelly Clarkson Talks Kanye West

Posted by Sam on 16th September 2009 in American Idol, Kanye West, Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Swift

Kelly Clarkson had some fighting words for Kanye West after Sunday night’s fiasco with the rapper and Taylor Swift at the VMAs and the American Idol alum took to her blog to say them. Kelly said “…I’ve seen you do some pretty shitty things, but you just keep amazing me with your tactless, asshole ways. It’s absolutely fascinating how much I don’t like you. I like everyone. I even like my asshole ex that cheated on me over you…which is pretty odd since I don’t even personally know you… Is winning a moon man that much of a life goal?? You can have mine if it will shut you up. Is it that important, really??” And that’s just half of the letter that she wrote.

Kanye West ruins Taylor Swift’s big moment at the VMAs

Kanye West stormed the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards and ruined country starlet Taylor Swift’s big moment by insisting her award should have gone to Beyonce.

The hip hop star was roundly booed by the celebrity-packed audience after interrupting Taylor’s acceptance speech by grabbing the microphone to slam the result in the very first category.

Kanye jumped up from his seat in the audience after Taylor’s promo for You Belong To Me had been announced as the winner of Best Female Video ahead of Beyonce’s Single Ladies video.

He took the microphone from stunned Taylor and blasted: “Yo Taylor. I’m really happy for you, I’m going to let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.”

The watching Beyonce looked horrified as the TV cameras cut to her immediately.

The audience responded with a chorus of boos as Kanye shrugged and returned the microphone to shellshocked Taylor before leaving the stage.

They continued to boo every time Kanye’s name was mentioned throughout the show on Sunday night, with the Love Lockdown star nominated for several awards himself.

Celebrities were quick to pan Kanye on their Twitter pages, with Katy Perry, who was at the ceremony, Tweeting: “F*** you Kanye. It’s like you stepped on a kitten.”

    Taylor Swift Feeds the Fans

Posted by Sam on 27th August 2009 in Country Music, Taylor Swift

If there was ever and award for nicest celebrity ever, Taylor Swift would easily take the top honors after the stunt she pulled outside her London hotel last Friday night. The 19-year old country singer treated all of her waiting fans to dinner by buying ten Domino’s pizza pies, several boxes of cookies and cartons of milk. Everything was delivered but the blonde cutie still took the time to hand some food out to all her waiting fans. I don’t think there’s any other star like Taylor who would do that. She’s epic I tell you. She just keeps giving you reasons to fall in love with her.

Michael Jackson is Top Selling Artist of 2009

Posted by Sam on 20th July 2009 in Michael Jackson, Top Music Chart

We’ve only just passed the middle of the year but it looks like Michael Jackson may posthumously become 2009’s top selling artist. Since the King of Pop’s sudden death, the singer’s record sales have skyrocketed. According to industry website Hits Daily Double, Sony Music has shipped over 8 million CDs globally since Michael died. Mind you, that count still doesn’t include downloads. Prior to Michael’s death, Taylor Swift’s ‘Fearless’ dominated the charts. And the King is sure to live on as there will certainly be “repackaged titles, possibly some previously unreleased material and the DVDs of the concert rehearsals” to follow.

    Joe Jonas Talks Taylor Swift

Posted by Sam on 23rd June 2009 in Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift

If you happen to be a Jonas Brothers fan, then I’m sure you’ve heard ‘Much Better’, a song off the trio’s new album ‘Lines, Vines and Trying Times’. You should also be aware that it’s that song that makes a little dig at Joe’s ex-girlfriend, the singer of ‘Teardrops on My Guitar’, Taylor Swift. Everyone’s speculating that the song is about the country cutie but we’re all going to be left at speculation because Joe isn’t confirming anything. Joe talked about it in a recent interview and said “We went through a lot in the past year and a half, all of us. And you’re just going to have to get the record and figure it out for yourself.” He should just own up to it. Taylor did when she released ‘Forever and Always’.

Taylor Swift hates nude picture of her being thought by people

Posted by Sam on 18th March 2009 in Funny, Taylor Swift

Country music star and glam girl Taylor Swift knows that in their thoughts and remote dreams many people and fans think of her as a desirable and consequently imagine her naked.

She says that she will not discuss sex during any press conference because “It’s fine to talk about love publicly, but I think when you talk about virginity and sex publicly, people just automatically picture you naked. And as much as I can prevent people picturing me naked, I’m going to.”

That’s really naïve of her to say like that if ever one could control the thoughts of young men drilling deep into thoughts of sex then the animal in him and the animal in females would have died a silent death.

Yes it’s complete upon her not to discuss any what she feel not to but hey she just getting more interest into her by saying so. You can prevent people from actually seeing you naked, but that is just about it.

    Huge Numbers for Taylor Swift

Posted by Sam on 18th November 2008 in Country Music, Records Sale, Taylor Swift

It seems only yesterday that the world didn’t even know who Taylor Swift is but it’s obvious now that the country singing sweetheart has made it big and is doing so quickly. The blonde beauty is projected to move huge number for her new CD which came out last week. Numbers from her first day sales have the singer on track to sell about 600,000 copies of her new album. She may also be on track to beat the sales of her ex Joe Jonas and the other two Jonas Brothers’ most recent album ‘A Little Bit Longer’ which debuted to 525,402 copies sold in its first week.

    Taylor Swift’s Good Heart

Posted by Sam on 14th August 2008 in American Idol, Performance, Taylor Swift

Country star Taylor Swift announced that she’s donating $100,000 to the Cedar Rapids, Iowa branch of the Red Cross. Two month ago, Cedar Rapids suffered millions of dollars in damages and thousands of job losses due to torrential rains. A source close to the singer said “Taylor was going to cancel the concert, thinking few people could attend, but the mayor of Cedar Rapids asked her to carry on.” Taylor said of the donation “The people in this town have been through so much loss this year, and my heart goes out to them. They’ve stood by me, they gave me a sold-out show. You’ve got to pay it forward in life – that’s all I did in Cedar Rapids.”
