The craze over ‘Glee’ doesn’t seem to be dying down anytime soon. Billboard has revealed some very interesting stuff regarding the musical TV show. There are reports that the cast members of the show could potentially get their own record deals with Columbia. In order to promote his new album ‘The Circle’, which is due out on November 10th, Jon Bon Jovi will only be appearing on TV shows owned by NBC Universal, dubbing him their “artist in residence”. The singer said “Of course you usually try to be out there everywhere, when a new album is coming out. So we have to sacrifice certain shows and relationships. We hope this doesn’t jeopardize any of them. But in a shrinking media environment, you have to kind of reinvent the wheel.” His appearances will include the Today show, The Tonight Show, The Jay Leno Show, Saturday Night Live and Inside the Actors Studio.

Alexandra Burke made her successful return to The X Factor by performing her new single ‘Bad Boys’ with rapper Flo Rida this past Sunday. The singer won the reality TV singing competition last year. The 21-year old British singing sensation has her debut album ‘Overcome’ being released on October 19. When she was asked to describe her album, Alexandra said “There’s more up-tempo tracks on the album that there are ballads. The ballads on there are very, very strong. The up-tempo tracks are very loud, fierce and beastly! When I recorded the ballads I cried, they’re very emotional.” I can’t wait to hear it.

Ryan Seacrest’s New Idol Deal

Posted by Sam on 15th July 2009 in American Idol, Kara DioGuardi, Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell

It was recently announced that American Idol host Ryan Seacrest has tripled his pay check with the reality show after he signed a new three year contract, making him exclusive to CKX for any TV work. CKX is the parent company of 19 Entertainment, which produces American Idol. If you are wondering how big triple is, it’s to the tune of a cool $15 million. If you do the math with the contract, Ryan just signed a $45 million deal! That may seem like a lot, but then again, he still isn’t making anything near what Simon Cowell rakes in. There’s still no word on the contracts of Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi or Paula Abdul though.
